I ran Windows defender and Malwarebytes on it after seeing your comment and pulled nothing. Upon being confused and worried for my computer I looked up what your virus scanning program had to say about .exe flies. ".exe files can carry malicious software and viruses." I know I've had trouble with virus scanners randomly saying .exe files are viruses and then doing my own digging and they aren't. Possibly webroot is just a little too precautious when scanning .exe files?
After almost two years (see my previous post) I finally managed to get this working! <<Of course, I didn't spend the last two years fixing it, I just recently came back to Morrowind after a long hiatus :-D >> And it already saved my bacon! Essentially, the problem is that NMM installs the two autorun files in the Data folder. They need to be in the Morrowind folder, as the description says. So avoid NMM and do it manually. And it seems the game needs to be run from autosave.exe instead of Morrowind Launcher if you want the feature. The other thing is the menu screens option, through NMM here it is simply not installed. Forget that and just install the original mod, TM - Main Menu Replacer, which you can find in the link given in the description. Which should not be presented as a part of this mod, in my opinion, it is another mod not even related to autosaving.
ya seem confused, the 'main menu replacer' of this mod doesnt include pictures, it lets you use multiple replacers and randomly selects them on game boot
@127ms I hope VirusTotal and the like got false positive with this, but Nexus removed the download meantime. I think you'd better include the autoit source if you want the utility to live and prosper as it deserves cheers
I tested Morrowind GOTY edition (no steam), windows7 x86 and x64. I don't know if it works with the steam version. Installing Morrowind in "Program Files" can also cause problems by limiting access to the disk.

EDIT: The virus is in the AutoSave.exe file
Run AutoSave.exe (Morrowind will not start), then start Morrowind Enhanced.exe.

Great job!!! No real problems this mod should have a thread on the main site if it doesn't.
Thank you 127ms.
