Yay! As someone who makes meshes and spends hours fiddling with the UVWs the UVW map for the mudcrab was driving me crazy...and you fixed it.You saved me attempting to do it myself since I haven't used Nifscope in several years I wasn't looking forward to it. Thank you.
Good work, thanks! Unfortunately, the creatures are where morrowind lacks the most compared to later games, and texture replacers can only do so much to improve them. Fixing uvs is a good start (I have tried fixing some of the other creatures as well), but in the long run it would be best to have them all remade completely at some point, as has happened with some of them already.
The difference between the original and the high poly one is negligable other then the original has a more angled look on the top and that still fits well with a shell shape. The mud crab mesh can be said to be one of the few orginals that doesnt need an update to a smoother shape.
