I wouldn't call it "recreation". Resolution aside, the original has better effects. The font texture is different. Text appear and fade effects are wrong. There's no background text in the first shot. The "Many falls, but one remains" text is much too visible.
And the storm part... The original blends multiple scenes. But this version just uses jump cuts. The scenes are also completely different. Reflection in water during rain effect is replaced by shots showing water during rain. Reflection effects comes back in the last shot, but without rain and there's no whirlpool effect just before fade out.
3/10 shows promise, but too many shortcuts were taken
Yeah it is, just replace the file in the videos folder.
If using the widescreen versions remember to add this line under the [GUI] section to your settings.cfg folder (In the OpenMW folder in your documents/My Games folder): stretch menu background = true
