    @Kafana

    Not every armor buyer and trader in the game would like a set of Dark Brotherhood armor, I would presume. Either way, It's at least a believable reason (if you want one) for why the Dark Brotherhood armor would be 0 value in the first place, other than getting rid of the gold boost.

    I agree about the gold boost, but why the hell wouldn't a merchant want that. As was said, collectors alone would pay handsomely for a set. Also, as was said, a lot of people barely know about the dark brotherhood, let alone what armor they wear. Your every day pawnbroker would love to own a cuirass made out of such fine leather, although it might be risky, the merchant wouldn't be informed. It's not like it's moon sugar.

    A lot of people would like to get rid of the early gold boost due to the fact it may make the game too easy. It also makes gold more pointless, which a lot of people find to be a problem in Morrowind.

    Not any merchant would take Dark Brotherhood Armor into their inventory for many reasons.

    Not sure about the more realistic part. Seems to me that if there is a market for an item, then someone is going to be selling it or buying it. Collectors alone could make such an item very expensive to buy. I wouldn't make the item worth 0, just make it so its risky or hard to sell.

    maybe a bit more realistic but why would anyone want that early gold boost to go away ? btw i don't think most of the merchants in morrowind would recognise the armor as dark brotherhood armor anyways (i mean when do you see a dark brotherhood member in your everyday life ey?)
