    How *does* one create a total conversion for Morrowind?

      You have to learn everything. From assembling houses and interior cells with the creation kit to customizing your own items such as weapons to manipulating land with the editor. You have to learn to script quests as well and replacing the default scripting of the game with your own and removing all the custom topics of conversation if your world isn't set in the Elder Scrolls universe. The character generator intro has to be scripted as well. Your character cannot start in the imperial chargen ship in your Total Conversion, now can it? The chargen player spawn manipulation has to be changed from Morrowind.ini I'm told. It's good to have a spare ini file to backup your ini if something goes wrong so that it doesn't mess up your modded settings or else you'll have to nuke your Morrowind files and re-install it. If you want to create your own launcher window and icon, you have to learn those as well and you have to learn to create your own cutscenes if you want it to look professional. Every TES game has started with a cutscene of some kind. I'd suggest that you'd make it similar to morrowind with a text crawl and a voice over. If this sounds a lot, it is and you have to be passionate to create it.
