Thank you so much! I've been trying to edit the updated water shader for the latest MGE XE without much success, gonna give this a whirl tonight, hopefully can at least learn something from it, been having a hell of a time since I'm not a programmer and can't read code.
It's designed to work with Morrowind *best*, but will actually work with any DirectX effect file (meaning Oblivion/OGE, Morrowind/MGE, and almost any other game using .fx files).
To get it working with Oblivion, you'll need to have shaders as uncompiled HLSL/ASM ".fx" files, and place ShaderConf.exe in the same folder as those. Run it and it should detect, list, and allow you to edit those files.
I may, depending on how Oblivion works, actually support it in future versions. However, that would come after ironing out any bugs.

First priority is fixing the preview and features there, before adding new ones.
@Dmitry: If I make any significant progress, I'll update you. ">

It should have everything you need (although some parts aren't perfect yet, what with it being beta).
Any questions, comments, etc... I'll reply as quick as I can.
I want to try to do my shader ^_^
