Trying to get this tow work but no dice. Get disposition to 100. It says, "click the Companion Share button". I do that and the instructions just repeat.
Hello Yacoby, I like very much the idea of your mod. I worked on it and i made a french revised version who suits my needs: - i remove the "repair" part - no share with the furnitures sellers: i remove the player upper level possibility - i added "realistics" conditions for the others NPC: ???* NPC disposition >90 => player must have level > NPC level ???* NPC disposition >80<=90 => player must have level > 1.78 x NPC level ???* NPC disposition >70<=80 => player must have level > 3.16 x NPC level ???* NPC disposition >60<=70 => player must have level > 5.63 x NPC level ???* NPC disposition >50<=60 => player must have level > 10 x NPC level ???* NPC disposition <=50 => no share - i add a disposition modification of -1 for each refusal. Because there must be consequences; and light consequences to not discourage the player (who, theorically, don't know how it works). - i remove the "disable" command because it is the way it works with OpenMW (no naked problem). - i add a "cheat" global variable for the needs of some players / of some situations: open the console, set the variable to 1, and now you can share with all NPC. Set the variable to 0, and the cheat mode disapears.
I only tested a little bit with OpenMW (essentially with 0.45, and a bit with 0.47). It seems to works. I'm not a programmer, i just twiked your great work (that i understand partialy only £:^). Thanks to you.
I tried this using OpenMW 0.45.0 - some parts seemed to work but generally the results were disappointing.
No apparent issues installing or loading the mod.
NPCs all had "-Companion Share" topic.
Vanilla Guards and Traders refused to share.
Mod-added Traders did not refuse to share. (I tried Traders from two different mods.)
All NPCs disappeared as soon as "Companion Share" (no leading hyphen) topic appeared. (That's documented in the readme; although, why they're naked, making this to be considered necessary, is unclear.)
No NPCs reappeared after sharing or after "Goodbye". This basically makes the whole mod useless.
PC could immediately walk unhindered across the area where the NPC had been standing - so NPC was not just invisible.
Moving items between NPC and PC inventories worked.
The documented issue with using "-Companion Share", but not subsequently using "Companion Share", was not seen.
I've had a quick look in openmw.log. There appears to be lines like this for every apparel slot for every NPC who would share: Implicitly adding one yac_cs_cuirass to the inventory store of jti_josie to fulfill the requirements of Equip instruction
There's also a lot of references to meshes/x/ex_bc_cave_entrance.nif between groups of Implicitly adding ... log entries. I haven't investigated that further but maybe there's a cave somewhere with a lot of naked NPCs wandering around. :-)
As I can see some genuine (non-cheating) uses for this mod, it would be good if these issues could be fixed. It possibly requires an OpenMW patch as others (presumably using original Morrowind) report that it works fine.
Came across this and tried with openmw 0.46 and indeed it didn't work correctly, but I think I found a solution:
Open the esp in the construction set with morrowind, tribunal, and bloodmoon masters, press the speech bubble button on the top to open the dialogue window, it should already have -Companion Share highlighted so scroll down the Info/Response list to "Ok...", in the Result at the bottom remove "disable".
Not sure why exactly but this worked for me, also for some reason when using the share dialogue it opens a second dialogue box once you close it and choose goodbye that simply contains a single period, but a second goodbye solves that.
This works really well! (in "vanilla") Wish I could put some clothes on creeper, since he's creeping me out, but this does say no traders.. Thanks for the great mod!
Doesnt work on open morrowind. Npcs Vanish when u share with them and never reapear. When u try to respawn them with console npcs do not have the items shared.
I seem to be having trouble getting this to work. I am using OpenMW 0.46.0 nightly build. I get to the point where I open the inventory, and he disappears, and doesn't come back after giving armor. I am trying to use the fargoth companion mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/45607) I don't know if this is causing a compatibility issue or not. Lastly, here is my mod list (https://textuploader.com/15jaq). If there is any other issues, I'd love to know.

It's simply because the author added an unnecessary "disable" line which disables the npc, maybe only on openmw.
And the double goodbye is because of the method the author used to implement the companion share
Thanks for the great mod!
I posted a fairly comprehensive list of issues just a few minutes ago.
I may look into providing an OpenMW patch. To help with that, could you please expand upon "But will work for 0.45.". Thanks.
