The race ability is like fortify intelligence maximum by 1.0 and the sign is oblivion where it fortifies destruction and strength by 5 and willpower by 10 this is me from playing the mod for like 5 minutes so im not sure if thats super accurate
This is an awesome mod! I just finished testing it and everything worked great! The Daedric Glider is very cool! It is heavy, but the appearance is incredible and looks much better fast levitating in 3rd person than anything else I have seen. I use the Flying Star spell for fast levitating to test mods and that looks very funny in 3rd person.
I think the race looks great and I really like the look of the robes. The detail in the Journal is also very nice and gives a very good backstory, all the way up to why the PC is on the prison ship, which was a very nice surprise. I only found one conflict with another mod which took me a bit to figure out. After that, everything worked perfectly.
The conflict I found was with the Goblin Race mod. That mod and this mod both have a RaceCheck script. If the Goblin Race mod loads after this mod, the new robes and the journal don't appear in the PC inventory. All my other CHARGEN mods had no conflicts, including other races, Useful Starting Spells, Skip Tutorial, birthsigns, etc. But I suppose any mod that adds a RaceCheck script during CHARGEN would have the same problem. I have no idea why the Goblin Race mod has a RaceCheck. I only use it because it is needed for another mod that uses Goblins and without it, the NPCs are headless for some reason.
The solution is to just create a mlox_user txt file (if you don't already have one) that makes this mod load after any other mod with a RaceCheck script. After that, the robes and journal appeared.
Again, I like this mod very much and I am definitely going to keep it in my load order. I hope the conflict note above helps anyone else who might experience the same problem.
HELP: Every time I open the race menu and select the Dremora it causes the game to stop. Please help as this is annoying. (P.S. I do have tribunal and blood moon so tell me how you did it if it works?, thanks)
When I create a new game and talk to the guard who asks you where you are from, I see the race on the list but I crash when I click on it. I also didn't know where to put the "Icons" folder in the data files (possibly the cause of the crash).
I installed the recently but every time I start a new game and select the Dremora race, it just crashes. Could it be that it conflicts with other mods?
This crash may occur if you do not have Tribunal and/or Bloodmoon installed as the Playable Dremora uses a RaceCheck script that is broken in the base game. This script is required to add the diary and robes to your inventory but causes a crash if people select the Dremora but don't have Tribunal/Bloodmoon installed.
It may also be due to a conflict with another mod and moving the Playable Dremora to a lower position in the load order (through Morrowind Mod Manager) may fix the issue.
kvngreeley (the post below yours) may have found the answer you seek as it sounds like a conflict being caused by another mod that also does something with the RaceCheck script. If so I suggest moving the Playable Dremora to a lower spot on your load list so it loads after other race-altering mods (or mods that use the RaceCheck script).
That's strange. For some reason an empty copy ended up in the Oblivion mods section.
Anyways, the Playable Dremora Project was for TES3 Morrowind only (although an Oblivion version does exist; but it wasn't made by our team)
