If you are an archer and don't like unfair advantages of AI, DO NOT install this mod.

lol, if you're an archer don't install Brytenwalda at all. Not just "this" mod. The coding for archers in this mod make your character with a bow, and bows themselves completely, unrealistically shit. Though, npcs seem to do just fine nailing you from across the map with one. (old post, but whatever)

      Hi deadchild5!

Since My mod is a revision of original brytenwalda I left bows as they were. I do not work anymore on this mod and consider it a final version. Most gripes with players seem to come with mechanics they feel are not to their liking, so I will give you the same answer I gave them:

Download Morghs .... really, just do it, that is how this mod was born. I took original Brytenwalda and started to tweak armor values all over the place to better reflect what I believed was more "accurate". I ended up doing this alongside several graphical modifications and other things.

You can make this mod "yours" just by editing everything in Morghs. Bow accuracy included, if you want bows to be deadly machine guns of arrows like Prophesy of Pendor, you can do it in Morghs

      Here, go here https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=105928.0

Download Morghs , Warband and all of its mods will become something else!

You can also learn to edit the .ini ... You can change accuracy, xp flow, leveling from there too

Heck, you might even begin modding! thats how I started deadchild5! hehe.

A big hug to you and hope you can tweak your warband experience to your liking and keep enjoying this game which I have logged ove3 2500hours in steam just playing mods.

      Cheers!

what is the difference between this and the normal Brytenwalda? Is that 1.41 patch they say to install part of this or is that a whole nother version of brytenwalda. I just started playing this game and this modding scene is a s#*! show

This is answered in the readme, but a TLDR is this 1.41 with a TON of modifications, and such modifications are well, explained in the readme and info at the front of the page

There should be no errors, they are LZMA compressed and using 7zip should unpack the game np. I redownloaded just to check and no problems on my part. Is this still an issue for you?

Does anyone know where this mod is reading from its item_kinds1.txt file? its no longer using the one in the original brytenwalda folder, and I don't see a folder for anything else. Would be nice to make a few tweaks of my own, as I had with the original mod.

So I think I found another bug. (Not listed in Known issues)

When enlisting in the army of a lord, when you gain the required xp for a promotion, the date for pay/promotion passes and you do not get the promotion. It continues on like you still lack required xp. I have waited through 3 pay/promotion days and it has not triggered the promotion.

I have the latest version of M&B: Warband (1.166 at this time)

This makes it impossible for enlisting to be a viable game option since you can't progress. Not game breaking, but its nice in the early game to get those first few lvls and build your gold stash.

This is to do with Freelancer I think. I read elsewhere to look at the skills of your next rank in the troop trees. I think the main thing is ensuring that you have the right skills to use the troop type's weapons/armour, I haven't tested, but I was having the problem with no promo, increased my throwing ability then I got promoted.
