I use this with EGM. It works, as long as you keep Kaidan's default outfit when doing outfit settings in EGM. If you choose anything but his default, EGM will override this mod's changes.
First of all, this mod is great, I played with it in my last playthrough before it became a DLC mod. That said...this playthrough I've added a bunch of mods, as well as this one and ALOT (with ALOT being installed last). I installed it, and the binkw all into the correct locations (I tripled checked to make sure), but it's not working. He's still wearing his Alliance uniform in the intro. I don't understand how unless it's being overridden by another mod? Do you know of any incompatibilities? I really miss him wearing the black shirt and jeans. Any help would be welcome.
Figured it out. ALOT will not allow Kaidan to wear these. It also changes any appearance mods you have for EDI back to her original state. Once I deleted ALOT, everything worked just as intended. First time I played with ALOT on a ME3 playthrough so I didn't know. Figured I'd post that here for anyone else who might have the same issue.
This is pretty old so I dont think you'd still check the forum, but... First of all, thank you for this. The non-dlc version bugged my game when I try to give Kaidan N7 Hoodie, lol, so I had to fix it with HR Uniform and give Kaidan Leather Jacket with DLC instead. Any chance you gonna add Kaidan's hoodie in DLC format <3 ? I need that hoodie swap lol. It's fine if you retired from modding for this game, I still thank you for your work :).
Hi sorry it's been so long to answer. Unfortunately, the grey alliance hoodie cannot be packed as DLC, per request of the creator of the textures. The other two hoodies can, but I'm not able to. I have put up instructions on how to swap out the DLC meshes and textures yourself on the main mod page, however. It's not too difficult to do ;)
Yes, it changes his outfit in every appearance, save the second Huerta visit. If you'd rather he wear his standard crew uniform during the intro, simply disable the dlc by putting an X in the beginning of its name, then reenable it after Mars.
Thank you for the mod. I couldn't quite make ME3Explorer work for Consolidated Casuals to work without crashing. I know it's been more than a year, I hope you'd repackaged Dress Uniform into DLC version. Thanks again.
Starting a new thread, lol. I'm trying to follow the instructions for the DLC replacer you posted; I'm using Kaidan White Shirt Blue Jeans as the "base", and I want to replace the textures with the gray Alliance hoodie.
I got to the step where I click "Install Valid" in TPF Tools, but when I do it says "No mods installed!" Not sure where the problem is. :X
It's possible the DLC didn't add itself to the Texplorer tree properly and/or isn't recognizing the edited names in the tpf. Try re-adding the DLC and searching in Texplorer for the textures (hmm_arm_kaid) to be sure they're there and named correctly. If they are, take the 'Hash' numbers for each texture from there instead of using the ones in the instructions and give it another shot :)
If it's still not working properly, I can walk you thru how to change the textures directly in Texplorer. It's quick and fairly painless, but a bit more involved than the TPF Tools method ;D
Maybe I'm misunderstanding part of the instructions. I added the White Shirt Blue Jeans DLC folder to Biogame\ DLC, then I loaded the HOODIE textures in TPF Tools. It's saying "NOT FOUND IN TREE" for all of the hoodie textures. :X
I could do a permanent replacement using the hoodie textures (I do know how that works), but it would be way faster to test if I like it with a DLC file.
The DLC isn't scanning into the Texplorer tree properly then. Try another DLC (I usually use the bdu one), add it to the tree, and double check the textures are in Texplorer before trying the tpf again :)
If the textures are in Texplorer properly (the DLC shows in the pcc window) but the tpf still isn't working, you can just manually replace the textures for the DLC files in Texplorer instead.
Using the BDU DLC folder worked! Hoodie textures were successfully installed in TPF Tools. :)
EDIT: I've been doing well so far, but when I click on "Import LOD" to import the hoodie mesh, nothing happens. I don't get the "Done" dialogue box until I close out Meshplorer.
(I know I've been making a million edits to this post I'm sorry orz)
Glad to hear it :) And I've actually been having that problem too, which appears to be an issue with the current version of ME3Explorer (I was trying to import into a completely different file). I ended up having to use an older version to get the mesh import to work. Try googling around for version 1.09k and see if that works better :)
Yes, you can. You'll have to add the DLC to your Texplorer tree though. Check out the main Consolidated Casuals mod page for some instructions if you need them :)
Sorry but I am having a difficulty finding the instructions on the Consolidated Kaidan Casuals description for switching the BDU color texture in the DLC using ME3explorer. Can you please point me to it?
Sweet thanks Scottina. I asked cause I was looking at "Consolidated Kaidan Casuals" by princessdemeter and the description said they weren't compatible with BackOff, and since these mods do the same thing I thought I might ask. Thanks again!
The DLC versions do not edit the second Huerta hospital visit at all, so Kaidan will revert to wearing his default crew uniform during that scene regardless if BackOff is installed or not. It is a very minor, purely aesthetic incompatibility with the Consolidated versions and absolutely nothing else in either mod is affected.
Feel free to install either the DLC or Consolidated versions of these particular outfits, whichever you prefer. The only real difference is install method
Nice mod, but unfortunately it doesn't work for me. When I launch the game, a message appears saying that the DLC content is broken and cannot be used. It suggests to download it again. It happens the same also for the Citadel Redone Mod, and I can't figure out why. Any idea?

EDIT: I think it auto-saved itself?? When I loaded the game, Kaidan was wearing the hoodie!
