I cannot get this mod to work with any hair mods for femshep. I doubt I'm the first to have this, but either Diana Allers' hair is messed up when I install hair for my femshep, or I tried installing this mod over my altered hair.pcc, and now my femshep's hair is messed up. Is there a fix for this? Somehow I can have both an alternative hair mod for my femshep and not screw up Allers' hair?
EDIT: I also cannot get this to install properly. I think (I stress the think) it is too out-dated for the current version of ME3explorer I'm using (Using 0109K). I don't know how to be sure, but after "updating" the mod file, it installs the mesh correctly... the dress has the right shape, but parts of the texture are missing... they are a strange skin brown color. So, if this is true, I don't think I can install the mod without ELE08 or someone updating it, right?
I doubt you'll see this, but on the off-chance that you do, I think I know the problem. I had the same weird misapplied texture. This results from loading the .MOD in Mod Maker without updating the texture through TPF/DDS Tools 2.0. There is a .TPF included in the download as well. Load that through the TPF/DDS Tools, and install it. The weird textures result from only applying the .MOD without installing the textures; the game attempts to apply her vanilla textures to a mesh that is shaped very differently from her vanilla mesh. So the weird stripes and patches of tan are actually her mangled up dress and skin textures. Hope you read this, and it helps!
I'm having a similar issue. I did install the texture, and its all mangled stripes and patches, but its the new texture thats mangled, not the original
I know this is old, but I also have this issue using ALOT to apply the .mod and .tpf files. Works beautifully in the cargo hold. On the Citadel, it mangles the new texture over the old mesh. Odd and can't figure out a fix. Since she is mostly in the cargo hold, I think I can ignore the issue...for now. If anyone has come up with a fix, I'd love to hear about it.
For me, this mod's textures would be applied to the vanilla Aller's meshes when she was on the Citadel Dock and in Shepard's cabin. I figured out this was due to a mod conflict with SP Controller, Project Variety and EGM. In order to fix this, I had to manually modify the appropriate mod pcc files to include the Modest Aller's meshes. Instructions to follow. I'll try and be as specific and thorough as possible.I hope this makes sense. This process fixed the issue for me.
!!!!!!CAUTION!!!!! In order to get the More Modest Aller's Body and Hair meshes, you must apply the mod and extract them from the modified pcc files using Meshsplorer. Since this process will involve replacing DLC pcc files, you will no longer be able to use a lot to add future textures or mods. Best practice is to vanilla your game after extracting the More Modest meshes (HMF_ARM_JESa_MDL <Dress/Body> and HMF_HIR_PROJessica_MDL <Hair>). This is easy to mess up and is time consuming to fix. I suggest reading this entire post (multiple times) before attempting. You have been warned! GOOD LUCK!!!!
You'll need ME3Explorer and UDK to utilize this fix.
!!!!!BACK UP THE PCC FILES YOU WILL BE EDITING!!!! This allows you to easily revert if you screw something up... ...I speak from experience
1. Open ME3Explorer's Meshplorer 2. Load one of the Modest Allers pcc files 3. Select HMF_ARM_JESa_MDL <Dress/Body> 4. Open the "Transfer" tab and select "Export to PSK" (This puts it in a format UDK can read) 5. Repeat steps 2-4 for HMF_HIR_PROJessica_MDL <Hair> 6. Now open "UDK Editor" 7. Select "Import" from the lower left corner of the window which begins on start-up 8. Import one of the psk file you created and name as you see fit 9. Save as a "upk" file to desired location 10. Repeat steps 7-9 for the other psk file 11. Open the DLC pcc file you want to edit first in Meshsplorer (i.e. SP Controller's: "BioD_CitHub_Dock.pcc") 12. Select HMF_ARM_JESa_MDL <Dress/Body> 13. Make sure "LOD 0" is checked under the "LOD" tab. 14. Open the "Transfer" Tab and Select "Import from "UDK" (It accepts upk files, don't worry) 15. In the new window, open the "file" tab and select "Open UDK Package" 16. load the upk you created 17. Click on the "0:HMF_ARM_JESa_MDL..." in the left pane (It'll be whatever you name the file) 18. Click on the "LOD 0" in the right pane 19. Click on "Import LOD" and wait (It may look like it is not doing anything, but it is) 20. It'll either say "Done!" in another pop-up window or seemingly not respond 21. After a very breif time (seconds for me) it is safe to exit the window and usually the changes will apply themselves 22. Double check to see if the mesh applied correctly (you may have to click another mesh and then the desired one for it to load) 23. Repeat steps 11-22 for HMF_HIR_PROJessica_MDL <Hair> 24. TADA! you're pcc mesh edit is done and ready to apply. 35. Replace each original mod DLC pcc file with the edited pcc files you modified 36. If you are using SP Controller, rebuild your GUI Patch! 37. Don't forget to apply the mod and tpf files for "A More Modest Dianna Allers" 38. Run Auto Toc 39. Enjoy the modesty ;)
******Note******** You will need to complete steps 11-22 for each DLC pcc file you want to apply the meshes to. For example, I had to edit the following:
Does anyone know how to make this work with MEM? I use a lot, so I don't have a ME3explorer tree built anymore. I'd love to be able to use this, but it comes out wonky looking when installed with MEM. I think it's because there's no "update .mod" utility on MEM, and my guess is that the program is at least partially based on the current ME3explorer code.
EDIT: I finally got it working. Here's how I fixed the issue, in case anyone else has the problem.
This mod didn't play well with my pre-modded setup, and it appeared to come down to the face texture alteration. I had a lot installed, and I had also installed Ellise's tweaked version of Allers prior to finding this mod. My guess is that some of the texture updates and changes alter the tree MEM builds, and that one of the two texture changes was the ultimate culprit. In any event, when I installed this out of the box, it came out looking very strange and the textures were broken.
In order to fix it and get it working, you have to manually remove all the face textures from both the .tpf and the .mod. I did that using the ME3explorer toolset (which you can apparently use to alter and build mods without having a tree). I loaded up the .mod file using ModMaker and updated the mod to be compatible with ME3explorer v3.0 when prompted. Once the update was complete, I removed the last pcc entry (it starts with BioG), then packed all the remaining pcc changes into a new .mod file. Then I loaded up the .tpf in TPF tools and repacked all the dress textures into a new .tpf. I started up MEM and built a new .mem file containing my edited .mod and .tpf. Then I loaded and applied the mod. After a quick TOC update, I fired up the game with fingers crossed.
Voila, Allers put some clothes on and still has her previously modded face textures.
So, does this work with ME3Explorer 3.0? I keep getting this error: --------------------------------- Script Compiler
Line: 0 Column: 0 (CS1704) An assembly with the same simple name 'Gibbed.IO, Version=1.0.6121.22568, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null has already been imported. Try removing one of the references or sign them to enable side-by-side. --------------------------------- The wiki article ("ModMaker threw a script-related error upon. . .") tells me, "Errors of this nature are unfortunately not fixable without manual modifications to the script."
I'd like to ask on the ME3Exp Forums, but they seem pretty adamant that if a question is answered it shouldn't be asked there. I also get this error with the EDI Default Outfit MOD.
EDIT: and of course I found someone else with the same problem on the ME3Exp forums. I didn't update my version correctly (I followed the links that said they will tell you how to update and I never saw that information).
With using the latest ME3Explorer, you can load this mod. There are a few directions.
This is not for the direct novice but I will help as much as I can (I have this installed successfully). You should have already read the ME3Explorer wiki and be familiar with using ME3Explorer
These are the PCC files you want to back up specifically for this mod BioD_CitHub_Dock.pcc BioD_End001_436CRAllers.pcc BioD_Nor_100CabinConv.pcc Biod_Nor_420StarCargo.pcc BIOG_HMF_HIR_Pro.pcc
1. Open up ME3Explorer and go down User Tools to Mod Maker 2. Load up this .mod file 3. It will ask you if you want to update, select yes 4. In the files select the face texture you see and delete 5. Run all jobs
6. Go to User Tools, select TPF/DDS Tools 7. Load TPFs and select the allers TPF 8. Select all files and click "Analyse with texplorer" 9. Select all but the face texture and below select INSTALL (do NOT select install all valid)
This will auto-update your tocs.
The mod itself already replaces her face so if you install the faces included it will cause a seam.
You should have a respectable Allers
Note: Sometimes she appears default in the Cabin during a conversation, it has happened to me only once but it is whatever. I just figure she gets "spruced up" for the segment :P
Not sure what you meant us to do in instruction line 4. All I did was install the .mod file entirely and then installed the .tpf files, minus the face texture. Works fine now.
A couple of my friends and I had seams on the face. It might not be for everyone but I thought I would add that in. The PCC files have the face texture embedded already so I delete it from the mod :) If there are no seam issues for other people they can skip that step.
Hi! I am really enjoying this mod, it makes a big difference as to Allers' character. However, for some reason, I have noticed that during her cabin interviews (after Priority: Tuchanka and Priority: Rannoch) she still has her vanilla appearance. This has persisted even after a total vanilla and reinstall. Just wondering if that is unavoidable behavior, or if I might have done something wrong? She looks just wonderful on the Engineering Deck and I would love the extra respectability during those important interviews as well!
This happened for me as well; I don't think you did anything incorrectly. But I agree, I would very much like the fix to be applied consistently. But since this mod hasn't been updated in over a year, maybe we just tell ourselves that she's changing her dress to appeal more to Asari audiences in the main interviews? Unfortunately I know very little about modding, so I can't really tell you what else needs to be changed. I suspect the game uses a separate model for the main interviews.
With the new ME3Explorer the .mod file itself that is updated is only updated for the cargo hold and has no files associated with the captain's cabin so that is why you are seeing her vanilla dress :)
You can still install this mod with 2.0; I successfully did so last week. Since the author seems to have stopped replying, let me know what problems you're having, and I'll see what I can do. I can't promise anything, since I'm not a mod creator myself, but I have managed to figure out a few technical issues with several ME3 mods on my own. So, I guess, tell me in as much detail as possible what went wrong, and I'll see if I can figure something out.
Whenever I try to follow the instruction to install the TPF file using TPFTools I get the message "Texplorer tree not found." The window has the title "Jumping ahead are we?" I'm a novice at installing mods and have no clue what I'm doing wrong, but if someone could explain it that'd be great.
You have to update the program using svn checker -> binary, then choose a NEW folder. Then scan another time using the new program to get new tree file.
Did you ever figure this out. I'm having the same problem. People don't understand new to modding means new. So although I appreciate people answering most of the answer are in a different language I haven't learned yet. So this svn checker -> binary, then choose a NEW folder; Load up Texplorer to generate a texture tree means nothing to me.
I think you were stuck in the same place.
A window should pop up "Found _ updates, want to apply and save them?"Click Yes, Done, and ME3Explorer should indicate the mod has successfully installed.
Mine shows file have been replaced but it also says mod updates failed.
2. Install the textures from the tpf using ME3Explorer's TPF Tools. I follow the instruction on the TPF tools page. When I hit analyze with Texplorer I get a pop up that says texplorer not found.
This mod will break your game. I installed the meshes successfully, but the textures failed to install. I launched the game and my saves refused to load. Had to roll back and replace the original meshes manually to fix it.
Um, no. If installed correctly, it works perfectly fine - I'm using it in my game and have no problems whatsoever. Don't blame the creator for you not installing it correctly.
Obviousau seem to be largely correct, although they probably could've helped you instead of being condescending. To install properly, you have to load and install the .TPF in the downloaded file as well as the .MOD. Install the .MOD first by loading it as a job in Mod Maker. Since this is an aging mod that hasn't been updated in a while, it isn't supported on the current Mod Maker. So allow Mod Maker to update the .MOD, and also be sure to overwrite the original file, just so you don't have to do this again. Then load the .TPF in TPF/DDS Tools 2.0, click Analyze and/or Install Valid, and it should work fine. I tested this minutes ago. Hope this helps.
I followed the instructions to the letter, and everything loaded and installed fine. But when I go into the game, the new dress and everything isn't there.Still the same lame ass white dress she always has.

You will need to complete steps 11-22 for each DLC pcc file you want to apply the meshes to.
For example, I had to edit the following:
DLC_MOD_EGM (Expanded Galaxy Mod)
BioD_Nor_100CabinConv.pcc
DLC_MOD_ProjectVariety (Self Explanatory)
BioD_CitHub_Dock.pcc
DLC_CON_XBX (SP Controller)
BioD_CitHub_Dock.pcc
If you are uncertain which pcc files need altered, search for the following pcc files in each mod you use
BioD_CitHub_Dock.pcc
BioD_End001_436CRAllers.pcc
BioD_Nor_100CabinConv.pcc
BioD_Nor_420StarCargo.pcc
BIOG_HMF_HIR_PRO.pcc
I hope this helps someone :)
