EDIT: Well, I try the Onyx version and I like it, though I don`t know if the meshes of the helmet don't work or what, but it's the only thing that doesn't install properly. Textures are OK, but the meshes of the helmet don't apply... Well, that's not problem for me, because I put that armor without helmet to the "torso" place in Coalesced :v
Endorsed, but it's a shame to people who doesn't know how to do that :/
The process with these armor mods is fairly simple with most of the effort having to go into making the textures work as expected or desired in ME3. The BIGGEST problem is that ME3explorer is no longer capable of creating new mod files for install. Somewhere along the upgrade/update path the developers eliminated the function required to make mods so even if I had the time I would be unable to produce a mod for you to install. ME3explorer is now only capable of importing/exporting meshes directly or installing/creating texture-only mods (called TPFs now). Beyond that, RL has hold of so much of my time now that I cannot find the time required to work through getting ME1 meshes into ME3 and working as desired. Sorry.
The ME3explorer dev is aware of the issue with mod creation (or lack thereof) in the most recent ME3explorer releases. If he gets them up and working again soon I will release updates to my mods, including this one.
There is no way to get any mesh mods into ME1. The devs of ME3explorer never really went anywhere with that. Because ME1 is different enough from ME3 (so is ME2, actually) the effort that it took to make ME3 modding work would have to be done all over again from scratch to get ME1 modding working. There's no one left among the ME3explorer devs who would even have the ability to start that effort.
Updating my mods is not currently possible. The ME3explorer devs have deactivated the function required to generate new mods. Unless or until they reactivate the function then it's not possible to generate new mod files. I'm considering releasing all my mesh files (upk files) with instructions on manually installing them yourselves. This would be tedious but would also almost guarantee no more compatibility issues with different versions of ME3.
How odd. Not sure how that happens. Clearly the texture applied but for some reason the mesh didn't. No errors when applying the mod? Nothing in the debug window? What game version do you have?
Absoulutly love the armor.... however there is one small thing that bugs me. Its mainly just me nagging.... But in certain angles you can see the through the visor even with the shine. And you can tell there isnt a head inside the helmet. Like i said nothing major just thought if this mod is still active it might be looked into. Possibly by adding more refilective shine on the helmet so you can see into it.
I've never encountered that issue myself though as I was making and releasing the mod I hadn't been actually playing for a while other than to do quick tests on the viability of various mods before release. Fixing the head thing may be as "simple" as editing a setting in Coalesced or in the settings for the armor itself.
As for altering the shine level...tricky. The actual setting for that sort of thing is hidden inside the pcc file somewhere (like opacity for Tali's visor). I'd prefer to eliminate the shine/reflectivity entirely and make the helmet visor clear like the normal N7 helmet. I'll try and take a look (RL is hectic now while when I was making these mods I had tons of free time).
I've noticed that too while recently playing the game. I'd like to fix that (I am thinking there may be a setting in the armor portion of Coalesced that turns head on or off). When I finish tweaking the other mods/characters I'll take a look to see if I can get this corrected. What I REALLY like to do is get rid of the reflectivity of the visor entirely but that may not be possible, and if it is the setting is likely hidden down in the pcc hex somewhere, the way opacity is for Tali's visor.
I need information. On my system the me1 armor mod produces 2 instances of the armor and I haven't figured out why yet. The first instance (in inventory) is wrong: the armor doesn't move quit right, causing stretching and distortion of the texture around the shoulders in particular. On my system the visor is also incorrectly textured on the first instance. The second instance is perfect. No distortions, correct visor. Is anyone else who applies all parts of the mod getting 2 instances of the armor (same name and number in inventory)?
I'm getting the stretching issue as well, but no duplicate.
Also, the mesh didn't work with the helmet. I have the Onyx body with the Collector helmet (re-textured). I'll try replacing it with the standard Breather helmet through Coalesced.
How to install this mod properly? I downloaded the ME3Explorer, loaded the .tpf and then the .mod files with it, copied the coalsced and the other file from the mod directory to CookedPC folder. I get the armor but the visor is non transparent, with one half painted white, the other painted violet. What do I have to do to get the transparent visor on the helmet.

Onyx armor is pure s3x btw. I love it.
