Is there anyway to uninstall this? I think it is causing the cut scene with Goto when i land on Shaddaa to crash my game. And removing the animations file messes with other mods and removing all mods just makes my game crash on load. Am i just fucked?
This mod is great and it does work but the problem is that it also effects Lightsabers. That's a problem because scenes that are supposed to have lightsabers activating/attacking end up having Jedi holding nothing with sound effects still playing
Considering it's been five years since an update to this mod has been posted, I'm assuming that the original mod author is no longer supporting. That said, in case they happen to glance at comments occasionally, I would like to second this.
It's a question of extremes. Either one gets (without the mod) situations like Atton typing furiously at the controls of the Ebon Hawk with blasters in hand (or vibroblades, or whatever), or one gets (with the mod) very odd cutscenes where Bao-Dur accuses Kreia of menacing Atton with a lightsaber (which one can hear ignite) while she appears empty-handed. Just rather odd either way. Just my two cents. I believe this is all working as designed. I haven't run into any "bugs", per se, but it could definitely use an update on the lightsaber animations. Of course, that's probably a lot of work to pick through those scenes. I know just enough about modding to get myself into to trouble (and occasionally out of it), and I wouldn't know where to begin with fixing this issue myself.
I wonder/hope if someone could make a patch for just lightsabers. By that I mean instead of trying to find specific scenes you instead make the mod not apply to lightsabers at all. Sure you would end up with a different version of the Vibroblade problem but at least that's a specific weapon type that you don't even get to give most companions from the start and might choose not to even when you can
I had this problem too. I think the best option is to take care of the problem 'manually' by unequipping their weapons before a cutscene would happen (many of which are on the Ebon Hawk) or giving party members like Atton, who are affected more by this problem smaller weapons like pistols or lightsabers to make it a bit less jarring.
A very nice concept. I appreciate the effort, but unfortunately unusable as is. Removes weapons from important cutscenes, very buggy with lightsabers. Not worth it, imho.
