Hey, new to modding on Android. I've installed A bunch of mods starting with MTSLRCM using the install on PC then drag to phone method. Everything is perfect except this mod. The HK units I see are all black silhouettes. It's also the only mod I have that uses the dds textures. After it wasn't working i read dds's need to be in a subfolder in 'overide' so I created a folder called DDS and put them in there. Still black. Tried to uninstall by removing all files then editing the appearance.2da to remove values, then HKs disappeared altogether causing game crashes. Any help? Appreciate it

I need to update the mod to switch to TPC textures at some point. Just haven't gotten around to it because I don't really care much about TSL.

I assume you borked their appearance rows somehow. Download the following, extract it and run it. It will patch appearance.2da back to their vanilla values - https://www.darthparametric.com/files/kotor/tsl/[TSL]_HK_Droids_Vanilla_Appearance_Rows_Restoration.zip

Edit: Mod has been updated to v1.3 which switches textures to TPC.

That worked, thank you kindly. I'll give 1.3 a go.

Update -- worked like butter. Thanks a lot, your work is gorgeous.
There is a typo in the installer btw. 'po_hk47'. The installer looks for 'po_phk47' and returns an error

Thanks for the heads-up. The installer was actually correct, it was the file that had the wrong name. All (vanilla) party portraits are of the form PO_Pxxxx. I've uploaded a corrected version.

Great work with these.. I was trying to do something like that, but while importing a model that uses the classic s_female02 supermodel seems to work always without issues, if i try with hk-47 importing model + animations (since it has no supermodel), always crashes in game. I saw here you made some using hk-47 as supermodel, so i tried that way too, aand it crashes nevertheless. So, could you tell me if am i missing something?

I tired to open the textures just to see what they looked like in detail, but the .dds files don't seem to be valid.  I do have programs that can open .dds images, and they're all throwing up errors.

Because while Odyssey (or more accurately, Aurora) DDS files use S3/DXT compression, they are not DDS format compliant. This mod originated before we had TGA to TPC conversion tools, so the old Neverwinter Nights DDS tool was the only option for compression. You can convert them to TGA with xoreostex2tga from Xoreos Tools - https://github.com/xoreos/xoreos-tools/releases

Some day I might get around to updating the mod and making a few tweaks, witch would include switching the textures to TPC.

Would it be alright if I ported these models to The Garry's Mod Workshop? I know you've had problems with people stealing your work in the past, so I just wanted to make sure in advance if you'd be cool with that.
Also, sorry about asking you this again. I tried contacting you about this on Deadlystream back in October, but I didn't get a reply before <:\

    Your mod was stolen.
    It's on the steam workshop.

I'm aware, and it has been reported, but Valve don't care.

Wasn't sure if you were aware of not.
Quite a few mods on the Workshop that seem like they were probably stolen. Most of them by the same person interestingly enough.

Yes. Valve doesn't care. There's seemingly no way to get them removed unless the uploader willingly does it themselves.

This mod doesn't work on me anymore, have no idea why. Hk 50 you meet on peragus looks vanilla again...

The error message i'm getting: "dialog.tlk file not found"

You are presumably trying to install it on the Steam version? Using Workshop mods? If so, you're going to have a bad time.

You installed this mod into TSLRCM's Workshop folder? Do you have any other Workshop mods installed? If so, any that have an appearance.2da will break this mod.

Yes, i installed it into the workshop folder, i went back and unsubscribed from ALL workshop mods that alter companion or npc appearance, i tried installing this mod again on the workshop folder but it gave me an error message: "An error occured! Invalid game folder specified, dialog.tlk file not found! Make sure you have the selected the correct folder. (GEN-7)"

I'm kind of baffled since my other appearance altering mods work just fine, i'd really like to get to the bottom of this, what is this dialog.tlk file, and why is it missing? I don't know much about modding but i have IT background.

EDIT: Would it be safe for me to unsub the TSLRCM from the workshop and manually install it from Nexusmods/Deadlystream? Or would that just screw my mods even more?

EDIT2: I think i'm a little dumb, i remember now that this mod never actually worked with me, my own comment here just made me confused, i checked my workshop folders and found multiple appearance2.da files with a little search, i have no idea which ones would be safe for me to remove or not, next time i start a new game i'll remove EVERYTHING on the workshop and try to see if it'll work then, hopefully i'll remember to comment here so i can confirm that it was exactly that and help someone else with a similar problem.

The TLK file is what contains all the game's text. TSLRCM doesn't alter it, so it's not included in the mod. The old version of TSLPatcher had a safety check to confirm the user had chosen the correct destination folder by looking for the presence of dialog.tlk. Later versions had this removed. I thought that was what was packaged in this mod. You can try grabbing the INSTALL.exe (just a renamed TSLPatcher.exe) from K1CP and using that instead - https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1258-kotor-1-community-patch/

This skin is cool but it's a bummer that it isn't compatible with the HK-47 Melee - Saber Mod (TSL). Tho it doesnt crash, his walking animation looks like his an toy being tossed around. i really wanted to see hk-47 use melee

Is there any chance of updating the HK-51 model you have yellow eyes and lights like he does in TOR?

Is there any way to use this with "Visually Repair HK-47"?

No. It's fundamentally incompatible with any mod that changes the HK appearances.

Love this mod, are you planning on doing a swtor style head for hk47 too?
