Hi, How do you install this mod. I'm new at modding games and I need a detailed explanation on how to use your mod without much issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Much thanks.

      Welcome!

To install this mod it may take a few minutes or seconds depending on a few things
      - Have a program that can open archives such as winRAR, zip, or 7zip. If you don't have one of these, you're going to have to install them. I personally use winRAR. After you install one you can begin the installation it is only a few steps.

      1) Download the mod, make sure it latest version, but since there is only one download you are good to go.
      - Go to files, then click the green download button and it should automatically download with a pop up telling you.
      2) You should get a folder that is labeled as Long Hair-20-0-0.(rar, zip, etc). Open that folder with one of the programs in the beginning that you needed to have installed. You want to check the contents of that folder first to make sure everything is in order and to know which files are installed and in most cases the folder usually has a readme that helps tell you how to install this mod (unfourntally this mod doesn't have a readme).
      - In this folder you should have the following, 2 folders labeled as "PMHC01 with long hair" and "PMHC05 with long hair". Open both of them.
In PMHC01 you should have 2 files labeled as PMHC01.mdl and PMHC01.mdx
      In PMHC05 you should have 3 files labeled as PMHC05.mdl , PMHC05.mdx , and PMHC05.tga
The difference between the 2 folders that I know of is that PMHC01 gives your character a soul patch while PMHC05 gives your character a
      a beard.
      3) Choose the folder you want or if you want to check them both at the portrait screen you can do that and make your final choice there
      4) Extract the folder(s) you want (if using rar, not sure about zip) you can extract them to any location but I usually extract the folders to my
desktop since it makes my life easier.
      5) Open the folder(s) and copy (either right click and press "copy" or press ctrl + c) the files in that folder
      6) Locate your override folder for this game you will usually find it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\swkotor\Override.
      - I'm guessing steam because of the date since you probably bought this during the winter sale if I am correct?
      7) Paste (right click and press "paste" or press ctrl + v) the files into the override folder of swkotor.
Run your game either through steam or through the .exe (Executable program)
      - This is to make sure the mod was successfully downloaded and is working as intended
      9) For this mod start a new character and go fully customize.
      - When you click portraits the first face you get for your new character should be the modded face, if you installed both folders you should be
able to by cycling through the others to find the other modded face.
      - If you did install both choose which face you prefer.
      10) Play the game or choose to find new mods to install, this is all up to you.
(DISCLAIMER! For my experience with this mod this only adds new faces not a new portrait to match the face, so the portrait at the lower left side of the screen will not match you character if you are okay with that, then you can keep playing. This is to let you know before installing this mod if this would be a deal breaker for you so you're time is not wasted.)

If any reasons later on you want to Uninstall this mod this is how you would do that
Manual Uninstall: BE WARNED!!! do not uninstall during the play through since this could cause bad things to happen, for this mod you will have a purely white face outline, no eyes, nose, mouth, etc during the rest of that play through!
      1) Find the files you manually installed, if you forgot the name of the files, then download the mod again and open the folders
      - In the upper right hand corner of the computer box is a search box that says "search ____". type or copy and paste the names of the folder
into that box to locate them if you forgot the folder they are located.
      2) After you find the files installed by that mod you will delete them
      - After this you are done and can go on your own path.

I hope this has helped you. If you need visual help to see what you are going to do then I would recommend you see the YouTube videos of Gopher. Here is his YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/GophersVids he has plenty of vidoes showing how to mod games. You should start off with this video of his https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxQ1JN_X-_Y&list=PLE7DlYarj-DdhDG41roBVJfNCqvO5MmKP (Yes this video is about Skyrim but a good amount of how he installs the mods can be used to help you mod Kotor.

Last but none the less feel free to post in the forums asking people who have more experience and A LOT more knowledge than I do in this area and probably can explain this better than I. Have a happy Holidays and may the force be with you.

    how's adding a beard - cannon?
he may have grown a beard after the Jedi Civil War, or maybe after the events of Kotor 2, we don't really know if he's always been wearing a beard

I remember mentioning in Revan novel by Drew Kapersky that Revan had a beard during the events of Kotor. Don't pay me much attention, I'm not sure of that. In any case you do not have to use the skin with the model. Just erase the tga file from your override folder, the model 'll work perfectly without the beard.

Also if you look a Revan from SWTORr he looks pretty close to this one. (Given the graphics)

Thank you, nicky. Glad you like the look. I have noticed that the mod is compatible with other mods skins. In case you want to use them please note that it use two skin heads: phcm01.tga or phcm05.tga for the face and phcm04.tga for the long hair. There are very good skins that blend well so feel free to use as you wish.
