As of version 0.10 the TOP of the mod list now has highest priority, not the bottom!
If your game is not up to date with the patch 1140773 from 2nd June this merger will not work! Use version 0.12 if you're on the May patch, 0.11.1 if you're desperate, but I will not be able to help you with any issues. If you're still behind the March game update, use version 0.8.2
0.12.1:
Updated to support game patch 1145908 released on 2nd June
NOTE: The automatic patcher isn't as good due to cumulative changes in the database between game versions. The best action is to ask the mod creators to update their mod, but the patcher should still mostly work fine. It may retain some entries (notably there seems to be a "MissionDefinition" or "MissionSteps" table entry that sneaks through) that needs to be manually deleted (or ignored, up to you. See if it works). Alternatively, you can merge your old mods with version 0.11.1 first, thenimport that merged file into version 0.12+ to cleanly patch it.
0.11.1 (Last version supporting mods for Game version 1126182):
You can now import raw PhoenixShipData.sqlite files as "mods". This allows you to edit your own database files using e.g. DBBrowser or SQLStudio and then merge them with other mods without having to pack it first. If you want to get your hands on a raw PhoenixShipData.sqlite file to tinker with, simple run the merger, then - before clicking anything else - navigate to \build\Phoenix\Content\SQLiteDB\ in the program's folder and copy the file from there :)
Fixed bugged colour in dark mode
0.11:
Massive improvement to speed of merging mods. Up to 150x faster than the old method
You can now drag-and-drop mod files to add them instead of using the add button
You can now add your own SQL into any mod by right-clicking in the database table and clicking "Insert New". A better interface with dropdown menus to choose tables/rows/columns is coming soon.
0.10:
Added mods can now be prioritised or deleted by right-clicking on them in the left list (Or using the keyboard shortcuts)
The TOP of the list is now the highest priority
Can now change the output mod name (changes are preserved in Settings.json)
Can save directly to any custom output folder, including directly to Hogwarts Legacy ~mods folder
Added keyboard shortcuts and some UX improvements.
0.9:
Can now semi-intelligently patch out-of-date mods with one click rather than waiting for mod authors to update them (obviously a proper update is still better)
Re-enabled DELETE commands - fixes issues merging NPC Schedule Mod
I cant merge.. it shows mod nod added. cant be merged or do not require merging. i cannot merge any mod.. even i cannot merge the mods given in this description.. even the mod checker shows needed merging. mods in red color.. but, mode merger is not merging
Thanks! Okay so you seem to be doing everything right. But when I do the exact same thing you're doing it works fine (see below). The only obvious cause I can think of is that it's a permissions issue. Try running Hogwarts Mod Merger as Administrator. See if that helps. If it works, and you get the result below, click on the red "!" to fix the "out of date" error.
ok thanks. it works.. i have two mods. target and enhanced.. another is spell enhanced. i merged sql files from both and created. Should i move to ~mod only this, or all other files except sql in both folders.
Hello. i have an issue. Sql files are not working. I tried both copying to ~mod folder, and also used vortex. Yet, mods with sql are not working. Even if i install only sql mod, it is not working. Even if i merge two mods with sql files, not working
It's actually impossible for SQL mods to not work if they're a) installed correctly, and b) merged correctly. Assuming that you've installed them correctly the problem must be that one of your other mods is an SQL mod but you don't realise it. To check which of your mods is an SQL mod install and run the Mod Merger Checker. Any pak files listed in red are SQL mods. They must be merged and then removed from your ~mods folder. Once you've done that run Mod Merger Checker again. The only pak file listed in red should be zMergedMods.pak. Note that Mod Merger Checker will only check your ~mods folder and sub-folders of that. It will not check the Paks folder. If you have mods installed in sub-sub-folders or the Paks folder you should move them to the ~mods folder or a sub-folder of ~mods.
You can only have one SQL mod so you have no choice - you must merge zSQLTest.pak with your other SQL mods. But if the game won't start without a file called zSQLTest.pak then rename zMergedMods.pak to zSQLTest.pak. Maybe that will work?
If not, check what version of the game you are running. The latest version is 1145881 but if yours is 1117238, 1120320, 1121649 or 1126182 then you have a problem. In the 04May2023 update a change was made to the structure of the SQL database. Databases with the new structure will cause older versions of the game to crash. The solution to this is complicated. You need to use Hogwarts Mod Merger version 0.11.1 or earlier and you must only merge SQL mods that have the old structure. In general that will mean SQL mods created before 04May2023 (but some created a few weeks later might be okay). I've created a few special versions of some SQL mods (look in the POSTS section of the mods you're interested in for an attachment from me with "FebVersion" in the name) and a few mods provide a version of the mod in the old format. Good luck!
Thank you SO much for your help, this thread was the missing link for me. Your comment about older game builds was key to what I was doing wrong. I didn't realize the rabbit hole I was hovering above when I seemingly couldn't get Spells Enhanced to work. Unfortunately that meant I had to remove a mod, but that's okay. I've got Stand Up Straight, Toggle Slow Motion, and both of your Checker tools installed; all great stuff. I appreciate the work you've done for the community
I am confused. I have mods that have multiple pak files but only some of them are SQL pak files. For example the NightCurfew mod and the Companions mod. In that case, after merging the pak files, what to i do to the original mod folders? Leave them as they are with the sql pak files? Delete the SQL pak files and leave the rest there? Delete everything that isn't the merged mods pak file? Help!
hi there can you upgrade it mostly some sql mods got a problem with it UNIQUE constraint failed: UDSAlternativeTaskNames.OriginalName, UDSAlternativeTaskNames.AlternativeName
I tried to merge "Avada Kedavra Faster Cast" and "Revelio maxima". Merged fine and put it on right place, but game crashes every time. Doesn't even load shader screen. Any idea how to fix it?
Okay guys, I found the solution, at least for me. I was using 0.12.1 version and it didn't work for me, but then I watched https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uzo6Lu3qusU this guy. It was using 0.9 version. I deleted 0.12.1 version, downloaded 0.9 version and everything was fixed. GL&HF
Are you running an unpatched version of the game by any chance? I've heard that patched SQL mods can cause an unpatched game to crash. The solution, if you are running an unpatched game, is to use version 0.9 of Mod Merger which will produce an unpatched mod file.
hello, i'm trying to merge files from masochi all in one + optional files from this mod but the merged file doesnt have the changes, it's like only one of the mod is working.... like if the merge didnt work... the file is way bigger than every single mods, but mods dont seem to work ingame.. any help would be much appreciated !

Mod Merge Checker tells me wich mods need to be merged.
I add those mods to the merger, click Preview, but it doesn't merge anything. It doesn't even show me anything on the right window.
