*** If you play Freelancer then it's probably best not to use this mod for now until a new update comes out that redoes the system. And if you want different times of day in Freelancer then use Freelancer Variations ***

Ever wanted to infiltrate the Swedish Embassy at night? Have a bright sunny day while you kill Erich Soders? How about kill The Prince in the evening? Or see Chongqing in the middle of the day? Well now you can do these things and more! Simply load up the mod, pick which maps you want to experience at a different time of day, and hit Deploy!

This is a visual only mod, no NPC paths or anything have been changed as they replace the original missions and work in online mode, meaning they use the vanilla leaderboards still, so everything must remain functionally the same.

Changes on some maps only apply to Story mode and Contracts, may not affect ETs and escalations

Compatibility

Works with all known Simple Mod Framework mods. Applies to The Sarajevo Six. Lighting Ultimate 2.0 changes apply to Season 1 maps (Except Paris), LU 2.0 changes do not apply to Season 2/3 ToD-affected maps. Unlikely to be compatible with old-style RPKG mods, please uninstall them first if you have any issues.

Chongqing Daytime Mk II (Chongqing Noodle Massacre):
  • All puddles manually removed (Removes most electric puddle kills in contracts mode)
  • Removes all rain sounds (or close enough)
  • Wetness was built into every ground piece’s texture, so had to replace the textures of every piece of ground (resulting in a different look)
  • All Lights/Signs were turned off instead of deleted
  • Different sun position that actually lights up the main square and restaurant alley
  • Removes some ‘fake lights’ IO put in some places like The Block

- Garden Lamps in Mendoza are no longer turned on and bright as a result of this mod
- Sapienza: Got rid of the ridiculous brightness of when you look at the lab from the cave area. Enabled a missing a chandelier.

- Hawke's Bay: Replaces Daytime's unnatural bright blue indoor lighting

Known Issues
- Some people report Sapienza staying in night time despite removing the mod and redeploying. This is an SMF issue and in the meantime can be fixed by going to Runtime folder and deleting chunk26patch300 (This will remove all SMF mods that affect Sapienza)
- Some options may have SMF create a pointless "blobspatch300" RPKG in your runtime folder which won't be removed when undeployed. This file doesn't cause any problems and can be manually deleted.
- There's a random floating lamp in Situs Inversus daytime
- Individual spots of bad lighting in Daytime Paris and Nighttime Sapienza and on the intro cinematics of night maps

Installation
Launch the Simple Mod Framework's Mod Manager and press Import Framework ZIP. Then select the ZIP file you downloaded from this website. Then Click enable and pick the maps you want changed
