How do you install this mod? Nowhere I have looked has instructions. If someone could lend a hand it would be appreciated. I just downloaded the 2.2 version and it was a compressed file that had a "Back into the Dungeon.DAT" file. I haven't played Log in years and noticed that there was a mod for the OG Dungeon Master. That is what brought me here but my lack of experience with this game and using mods has me at a loss. Thanks to anyone willing to give some assistance.

Just finished it. Pretty damn good mod, overall. Since I couldn't resist not looking into walkthroughs/maps for DM, I can confirm it seems absolutely faithful to the original too. A few poorly spelled texts are the only visible weak parts.
I disagree with Paparovic, I found the difficulty a bit on the easy side. Since I was too much of a spoiled pussy not to use automap, I can see how a few parts were supposed to be much more befuddling than they were for me.
A few spoiler-free character development advices for beginners: - Don't make a dagger rogue - there aren't any daggers to be found in the dungeon. My tribal woman hero ended up using plain kitchen dagger all the way through. - Both throwing and ranged weapon rogues are OK. Ranged has better weapons, throwing has powerful perishables. - At least one sword fighter is a must. Swords are the most common weapon to be found. Also, the only weapon that can attack non-material beings is a sword. - Blunt and axe fighters are about the equally well supported. Both significantly less than swordsmen, through. - A mage is a must. Air magic seems the safest bet. My fire mage was thwarted only in the final battle by immune foes, so fire mage is OK too. - Skull hunter is ok, there are 5-6 skulls to be found (didn't count because none of my heroes was one).
"At least one sword fighter is a must" Incorrect. "Also, the only weapon that can attack non-material beings is a sword." Yeah, it's the only weapon, but if you don't have a sword fighter you can use the weaken non-material being spell, as long as you have a mage.
Tout comme Otakuxx, je n'ai pas le message « près du panneau hall des champions tu avances d'une case vers la salle et il apparait un message au milieu de l'écran, tu cliques ok et les personnages de départ disparaissent ». Je suis sous ubuntu, LoG fonctionne très bien, il est en français, et dernière version de ton mod.
Just got Legend of Grimrock and found this mod. THANK YOU! Dungeon Master was a game I played so many times as a kid. This truly does it justice! Awesome!

Just let you all know I am writing a novel spaced across 3 books on dungeon master for my website. its really intense and detailed, it took me 20 chapter just to reach treasure stores.
Je viens de finir "Back into the Dungeon" et je voulais juste te féliciter pour ce mod extrêmement bien fait. J'ai adoré les adaptations de certains monstres (ogres bleus et vexirks notamment). Et en plus, je découvre que son créateur est français ! ;-) Félicitations. Et merci pour ce cadeau !
