Thank you for this, I cannot handle the chameleon noise - gives me a headache very quickly, I end up remembering to reinstall this mod around 5 minutes after receiving a piece of chameleon armour on any Fallout game I replay.
Thanks for this. The noise was starting to really get on my nerves. As for the image shader effect, the FO4 mod mentioned above has the technical details of what was changed on its description page. It's an .esp so I assume it'd need to be looked at in fo4edit to see what was changed and then see if that can be applied to 76.
Edit: Had a quick look and it seems to change 2 game settings (fInvisibilityMaxRefraction, fInvisibilityMinRefraction) and 3 magic effects (ChameleonEffectArmorMod, ChameleonEffectStealthBoy, InvisibilityEffectStealthBoyTransition) basically setting them all to a null value (0) so that it just doesn't trigger the effect. Not sure if any of that helps and I've no idea how to apply any of that to f76.
I'm now at the point where this effect is becoming detrimental to my playing and I'm aware of it constantly. I love to be a sneaky sausage in this game but every time I crouch I get flashbanged :(
loved and endorsed. i couldn‘t play fallout 4 without this mod and i sure as hell almost lost my mind when i finally got my first chameleon armor in fo76, so thank you! you‘re doing atom‘s work.
doesn‘t need an update, it‘s working just as intended. did you follow the exact directions? maybe you need to rewrite your custom.ini. it‘s working for me.
i cant get it to work :/ i am doing exactly as said in the description but it just doesnt apply. i dropped it in the right data folder and i checked again if i have it spelled right in my custom.ini but it doesnt work EDIT: nvm i just have two hard drives and f76 is on the secondary drive but the ini file i have to edit is on the main drive but there is still an ini file on the 2nd drive that does nothing. great xD
nice to know you are liking the mod :) And yeah the sound gets increasingly annoying over time even though its not that loud. After 100s of hours in the game i just couldn't take it anymore and spend some time to get rid of it ^^

it‘s working for me.
