Man, I was looking forward to this, cause I want more clothes variations for my child settlers and I don't want to install Bandit01's child clothes mod, cause it forces you to use AWKCR. I really wished the author of this would release it without the need for vendors, maybe as spawneable or craftable stuff
Try jacknifelee kids wear modder resource. The mod is complete but they aren"t working on it anymore. No requirements or dependences, and the outfits look good and adds variety.
When I went to download this mod, it indicated that the Child Settlers mod was needed for this to work. Unfortunately, when I went to the Child Settler's mod, it says that the mod is now hidden by the author.
What was it that the child Settlers mod did that made it required for this mod? (And, if you know, why was the Child Settlers mod hidden?)
The Child Settlers mod allowed you to buy the clothes that are available in this mod.
I am in the process, and it has been a long process, of making several quest mods that will do away with the need for Child Settlers. I am waiting for the voice parts for my first mod and when they are done I shall release it. I hope it won't be too long into the New Year before that happens.
This mod requires Child Settles but it's hidden WTH ! Am I missing something ? Pretty damn retarded if you ask me, any modders out there want to help this mod out looks like a pretty cool mod.
I would love to see a version of this that doesn't require child settlers, as it is not only no longer supported, but has been hidden by the author. I would like to use your clothing mod with the other child settler mods I've found, in case you're interested they are:
1. Orphans of the Commonwealth - More Children by Gift2 http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16000/?
2. ANiceOakTree's Diverse Children by ANiceOakTree http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16289/?
3. Raider Children by Gift2 * http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16586/? * I probable won't use this one until Gift2 implements a planned update to allow the pc the possibility to pacify and then recruit them.
I do look forward to any child settler mod you may be producing, but it would be really awesome to use this wonderful apparel mod for the mods I currently have.
To be honest, I didn't know there were any other mods about children on the Nexus. I'll have a look. If they are re-textures, there shouldn't be a problem, but if the CK or FO4edit are involved there may be issues and it may come down to a choice. Going through someone else's mod to see if it is compatible with your own raises a number of problems.
Thank you for taking the time. I believe they are essentially re-textures, so the clothes from your mod should work flawlessly with the above mods(fingers crossed). I think all we need is a version of this that doesn't have child settlers as a master.
Also, any additions you'd be interested in adding, such as children's vault suits, would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for the offer. I may take you up on it. I have still to extract the dialogue into a readable format. The CK is hopeless at this and the available mod on Nexus only deals with the game dialogue. So, it's a matter of doing it manually. There are 734 lines in total, the PC taking up not quite half. Then, there are nine more speaking parts, including June and Wally Warwick, Sheng Kawolski from the main game, then two male raiders, a female fashion designer, a male super-mutant bookseller, and the two boys from Spectacle Island around which the quest takes place.
Just wondering if you are still active on this mod? Your outfits rock! Child Settlers is no longer on the Nexus. Are you possibly going to make a standalone version? Thanks.
Just wondering if you plan on adding anymore outfits? i kinda like the idea of having a team of baseball children aha would be cool if you could make vault outfits too? finding it a tad hard to find the clothes i've been to every vanilla shop wondering if you can post a photo of the id's so i can just player.additem??
Oh just an idea for the vault tec dlc you could add the vault tec uniform with the number of the new vault...also could you make them with proto vault suit... cos i guess thats my fav..if not thats cool
I am hard at work testing my new mod at the moment, but I have not yet recorded any voice tracks. Finding 'actors' to do voice overs (particularly child actors) is like panning for gold.
If I remember correctly you can buy the current mods clothes from, Sheng, Becky, and also at the clothing store in the settlements, they are not difficult to find.
In the new mod, there are 17 outfits, including vanilla, plus the provisioners and swimmer boys. A young settler will come in a random one of these clothes, but you can also buy them - in case the game generates the same settler, which I have to say it tends to do for me.
I haven't played any of the dlcs while I've been working on the mod, but I'll look into the Vault-Tec suit.
I am working on an expansion using the Creation Kit and FO4edit.
The results will be if everything goes OK:
A quest to get provisioners. This would be best done in a new game, or a game before my current mod was loaded.
A prologue to another quest, featuring, Sheng Kawolski, meaning quite a lot of new set dressing.
Young settlers that do the things the adults do: cook, sleep, sit, guard etc.
Most important of all, they fight alongside their adults.
More clothes.
There does not seem to be, as yet, any way to make the in situ children do anything more than the do now, including running away from conflict (that's Wally etc.), though they will be commandable and dressable.
There is a lot about the game mechanics and the CK, I do not yet understand.
Finally, until someone comes up with a way to successfully export and import head models they will all look the same as they do now.

Edit: I messaged jenthecopycat, the author of Child Settlers, and they were kind enough to unhide it for us. Go download it!
