FO4 Vanilla Miniguns = getting yourself killed.

A Plugin that beefs up ALL miniguns (NPC Vertebird, player Vertibird, standard Weapon) by increasing damage from 8 to 13 and ammo expenditure by 150%. Adds more ammo to level 3 settlement weapon shops

Intro/why?

Miniguns. or the XM214 Microgun in reality. a badass death machine that churns up to 10,000 rounds a minute... well only in real life since the FO4 version doesn't just suck. it's more of a liability if you use it.


Basically i found that miniguns suck so bad in FO4 that your more likely to die while using them instead of almost anything, even in the early game at concord the amount of time and ammo to mess up generic raiders was dumb to say the least especially when you can give them a couple whacks on the head with a genuine hickory swatter and be done with them.

so yes i thought miniguns needed a boost. i don't like cheat weapons so the intent is to be fair for survival difficulty and no other difficulty (if it is coincidence). of course making a gun in the game shooting 10,000 bullet objects is impossible but i beefed up the stats enough so now its a murder weapon for your enemies and not you... or as three dog would say "the only wasteland asshole its gonna kill is you".

What it does.

beefs up the minigun weapon base damage from 8 - 13 and speed from 3 - 4.5 (50% increase)
increases accelerated barrel from 15% increase to 30% increase.
beefs up the NPC vertibird mingun weapon on the deck base damage from 5 - 12 and speed from 3 - 9 (200% increase)
beefs up the player vertibird minigun weapon speed from 3 - 9 (200% increase) (damage was already at 25)
adds about ~600 rounds to level 3 weapon vendors you build in settlements. (you'll be burning more ammo so you'll need it)
above is subjected to change/optional plugins (i have the ROF set less intense so its not super demanding on the game... all that bullet data adds up)

**quick note: the picture of the stats in menu are for a character with big guns perk level 4 or 80% increase in damage)

Install.

its just a plugin shouldn't be anything fancy. if NMM doesn't work then please notify (this is my first rodeo) and drag drop uncompressed file into Data folder (in your steam apps... steamapps/common/fallout 4/data)

also having FO4 setup for mods is a good idea too.

compatibility/technical.

should be good with everything besides you know other better minigun plugins and any mod/plugin that affects the following:
-Container > WorkshopVendorChestWeapon03 (settlement tier 3 weapon vendor)
-Modification > mod Minigun BarrelMinigun short
-Weapon > Minigun
> Minigun Veribird Player
> Minigun Veribird
**made in FO4Edit 3.1.3 and works with patch 1.3

if using no No Spin Up put this mod first in load order above No Spin Up. if the acceleration increase is still the vanilla rate try making a compatibility patch (they are pretty straight forward to make. there is lots of guides to show you how). if there is still compatibility issues please report and i'll try taking a look sometime. im honestly just writing this advice on how i think No Spin Up works, not how i know no spin up works
