Tried this mod as I found I was having the same issue as JimmyRJump described (Steady Aim could not be accessed till higher lvl, showed only a white, inanimate Vault Boy icon and only one lvl available. Also could not preview the higher lvls by clicking CTRL or ALT.)
Installed the optional Nuka World version of this mod and it fixed it! Thanks so much for this mod.
If im honest I dont even know what cause the issue to begin with, I have no mods that effect any perks and hadn't noticed the issue until today, but its fixed now and you dont question when things work
Is the Nuka World file needed as an addition when having the DLC or do you install it as a replacement for the original?
Asking because lately, with the main file installed, the Steady Aim perk behaves strangely, in that I cannot access its higher levels. First tier can be activated without a problem, but higher levels give the sound like it's been added but no perk point has been used and the perk stays at the first level, even though I have reached the minimum experience level to go up.
Steady Aim Change is the only mod I use that specifically alters this perk, although I have mods that change the overall behaviour of perks, one of which adds five times the amount of xp when having made a kill...
The reason I named it change instead of fix is that it's deliberate. Bethesda clearly wanted to exclude shotguns for some reason, rather than a mistake in coding that slipped through.
You sure it's not a copy/paste oversight from a similar effect for spread? I could see someone writing up an effect to improve spread angle for regular slug-based weapons, but wishing to exclude pellet-based weapons, and then someone (else) coming along who had to do the same thing for aiming, so they just copied the existing effect and modified what it affected without noticing that the condition was no longer appropriate.
I've seen other things that looked like copy/paste errors, like Ron Staples' legendary stall type being set to trader rather than barkeep.
Does your edit cause Steady Aim to actually tighten the pellet spread of shotgun blasts, or just the center-screen placement of the pellet-cloud itself?
If the latter, then okay, that does seem like something Steady Aim should improve. But if the former....
