#1: Finger Busting... IIRC, there is a tutorial floating around about adding an alpha channel entry to the NIF file and using alpha transparency in the DXT 5 dds files. I will try to work on that.
#2. I been spelling it Sturgis like the Bike Rally in the Dakotas for weeks... I will fix that ...
#3. Currently, the Suppressor is only available on the 10mm Sturges variant of the guns.
This was almost as difficult and time consuming to do as making the Sturges guns full auto. Gotta find the correct keyword and add it to the proper parts. Gotta get all the NIF, BGSM and DDS Textures copied around, then you gotta tune the damn thing ballistically, which is a major pain.
BUT IF I GET 10+ PEOPLE ASKING FOR IT, I WILL ADD IT FOR THE VANILLA .44 MAGNUM ... I am not gonna tune it though, but that shouldn't matter that much on a single fire gun... Tuning was only really needed when the Shots/Second was increased... BTW, the main reason I took it out is the SOUNDS... There are no effect suppressed sounds for the .44 ... With the 10mm, I was able to "cheat" by using the covert sounds from the Deliverer... To the player, there is no effective sound difference between suppressed and non-suppressed... Whether the game's physics engine uses the setting in the suppressor still needs to be tested...
As far as a Suppressor on a .44 Magnum, perhaps you all are too young to remember the Vietnam Tunnel Rats ...
And yes, it was built on the S&W Model 29, that shot a modified .40 cal round ... Guess which ammo we have that is closest to the .40 cal round? Yeppers, the 10mm ... Now you are lucky that I didn't make it a GunNut #5 skill and lock the suppressor down to the short little barrel because by the time the 10mm round leaves the long bull barrel, it is well beyond supersonic and should make a crack... But being a virtual game, and I get to make the rules if I make the mod...
Now what I was surprised at is that no one called me shooting a rimless cartridge through a revolver, cause if you don't remember the Tunnel Rats, you damn sure don't remember the 1917 Revolvers that the US Army had Colt and S&W make because they had plenty of .45 ACP rounds but not enough 1911 pistols to go around. Now the Colt required moon clips to hold the rimless cartridges in place but not the S&W ...
#4. The incendiary effect is merely visual. It does not cause additional damage to the target. It rains a lot in Sanctuary, so I needed an effective way to see where the bullets were hitting on the targets to be able to tune them.
BUT (like the vanilla .44 suppressor) IF I GET 10+ PEOPLE ASKING FOR IT, I WILL ADD A SECOND DOWNLOAD WITHOUT IT...
With the BattleRattle for melee/close combat and this pistol, I am pretty well good on weapons to go for a full walkthru, but thinking now I need to make a longer range sniper gun, although this one will pretty much reach out and touch someone. I was shooting Strong, who I have hanging out at Red Rocket from my little dormatory/lab area near the big oak in Sanctuary.

I think I may scrap the whole 10mm heavy barrel thing (cool as it was at first) for this new skin ... What do you think ???
Sure, but it looks cool. You can just pretend it has a sealed cylinder gap like the 1895 revolver. It's not like all the guns in the game being left-handed makes sense too, no? or how Fallout 3 had a shotgun that could never work in real life because the magazine was in front of the action. Or how you can rechamber a goddamn BAR from .308 to .45 without changing its asthethic appearance. Or how silencers are actually silenced without subsonic ammo.
First of all, you don't need subsonic ammo for a suppressor. The only purpose that would serve would be to make the bullets even quieter at the cost of extreme loss of range and accuracy. And second, a 1895 sealed cylinder revolver has a sealed cylinder to make the bullet it was designed to shoot (which is just a couple centimeters short of being the same bullet fired out of the ak) shoot more like a rifle than a revolver. The 44 magnum was not designed in such a manor that it needs the extra velocity from either a suppressor or a sealed cylinder, that's just how the manufacture wanted it to be.
heck yes please! lot of folk run silenced perk builds and since there's NO silenced .44 or other silenced heavy pistols, you are left out a bit
few guns are really "silenced", generally very well designed .45 ACPs and .22LRs rest are "moderated", reducing noise. "silencers" also help improve accuracy by reducing venturii recoil and reduce risk of flash triggered explosion in areas with inflammable gas etc
Is there a way to have a version without the text on the side but still with the engravings, I'm doing a roleplay play through and i was looking for a pistol that looks a bit like the unique pistol Lucky from NV. Maybe an optional file without Mama Murphy's text on the side? Other than that this mod is exactly what i am looking for!
can i make a suggestion ? can you make the fire bullet be a muzzle effect instead of guns default ? and make some new types of muzzle effect like explosion, freezing, etc...
