Well that's strange. I made a bridge per say with this mod, from break heart banks across the river / lake ish ( using conquest mod ) at one point and made my companion run across each time, and just to see if he would choose to do it himself rather than swim, asked him to wait, and went across myself , and asked him to follow again, and he chose to come across the made bridge o.O ./shrug might been just that one time , I should've spawned a raider or some humanoid to test other wise O_o
For me its real unfortunate because I used these to make a huge walkway around the settlement but everyone refuses to use it. For my testing i put a guard post on the bridges themselves, fast traveled away so when I came back the guard was forced to be in the guard post. Then I made the guard leave their post and they couldn't walk anywhere, even after being forced to stand on the bridge.
I'd test your game some more, modding is always iffy and something could be messed up in mine that's fine in yours making yours work or something.
Im going to do some more testing with random spawned raiders and Strong as my companion see if " strong will get it done "... There's no mention either about them being nave meshed for anyone other than yourself to use >< will later today tho.. Edited Later -- Ok testing with strong this morning made a ought square ish area of bridges made shack bridge with supports to shack bridge without supports, and shack bridge with smooth boards on it strong would quite happily run / walk across the rough looking shack bridges with or without supports Except for the bridge with smooth boards on top, he'd step on to it not walk further on it, he'd turn around go around on the others ... So if your walkway is made of the smooth board one try replacing them with the rough looking shack bridges ? Re- Edited again.. Lo and behold soon as I replaced the one smooth boarded top bridge and replaced it with a rough looking one,. strong was quite happy to go where I tell him across it
This simple mod revolutionises the shack bridges, and makes them actually useful!
You've got the original shack bridge, only now they snap together. You've also got one without supports, which you can snap between two that do, making a proper bridge. And rails will snap to them all, so you can make little, ramshackle defensive platforms out of them.
Hey, this mod is exactly what I've been looking for however the bridges are not appearing correctly, the bridges are in fact invisible! I've tried installing via NMM and manually but I cant get them to appear, the options for them are available in the crafting menu, but there is also no sprites in the crafting menu bar? I would really like to be able to use this mod!
another "makes sense" mod, thanks. Do they have nav mesh, because my settlers refuse to use them? Im' going to have to tear it all down since they don't sleep and eventually they will work themselves to death.
