One, thank you for making a mod like this! And two, for making it work with Armorsmith Extended. I have one small request, however. Lore wise, it has never made sense to me why the Institute's hazmat suit, the Hooded Cleanroom Suit, is not superior to the old pre-war Hazmat Suits in the game. The Institute scientists clearly use it as a hazmat suit and the Institute has the most advanced tech ever seen in the Fallout world.

Would it be too much to ask you to make an optional file that makes the Hooded Cleanroom Suit have 1800 rad resistance? I say 1800 because I think you can get close to that with Power Armor with the right modications, but I feel the Institute's own hazmat suit should provide the most rad protection in the game. Anyway, thanks for your work and time on this mod!

You could do this yourself with FO4Edit. Or I'll send you the modified .esp, if you'd like.

    It's compatible with Armorsmith?

It's very very easy to create a patch in FO4Edit, takes like 2 minutes. I just did so.

Any chance you could share the wealth Sam Fisher? If not, do you know where I might be able to get information on how to create such a patch? Thanks bud.

Added an updated version of the Armorsmith Extended version that should support modding on the bench.

But but but - radiation isn't a gas or an airborne pathogen . . . it is radiation! You can't put a wet t-shirt over your mouth and go frolicking through a nuclear blast crater, much less wading through nuclear waste!

Defined: Radiation is the emission of energy as electromagnetic waves or as moving subatomic particles, especially high-energy particles that cause ionization.

Thus a suit that protects against air and/or bloodborne diseases and pathogens isn't going to actually do squat to protect you from radiation. If anything, it may keep you from inhaling radioactive particles, but that's it! If you're going to make a surgical mask radiation resistant, then just make everything radiation resistant. But whatever. This isn't realistic, but neither is the game, so whatever. Just don't go thinking you're "fixing" anything.

Ugh, I'm going to go make all my deathclaws look like Machoman Randy Savage now . . . for immersion.

Well, like he said, he's giving more options for CBR gear. There are CBR gas masks, so that's not too much of a stretch, and clothes, like typical full-body suits (if treated correctly, or say in the case of a Demron suit) can provide some radiation protection and protection from radioactive particulates. However, FO4's implementation of radiation is not at all realistic, either, so, I don't find this a particularly bad idea.

You raise a good point that I did consider, but... radiation and radioactive material does appear to sometimes be carried airborne in the Fallout universe, judging from the rad storms blowing it out from the Glowing Sea. No, most of these items would help very little vs Radioactive barrels and other actual sources of radiation but in general many items seem like they would help quite a bit in a rad storm or when holding your breath swimming around in radioactive water.

Hmm gonna give this a go. I'm not a huge fan of using power armors, and the hazmat suit is... well good for rads and little else.

This is great, allows for some rad resist without power armor or the hazmat suit. Thanks!
