Tales from the Commonwealth: Just a reminder I will not be providing support or visiting/replying to comments on this page, because it's easier for me to manage all my mods from a single website, one that also happens to have a mini-wiki that will answer many basic questions for you.
Wiki for TFTC Here you will find info on quests and companions as well as random NPC encounters. It is also recommended you play the Fallout 3 Mods (bundle download from the header) for additional backstory on NPCs, in particular companions Audrey and R4-04.
The Built-In Quest/Location Finder: You don't need to rely on the wiki, however, or random chance. There is an easy way to find many of the quests and locations in the mod (although not all of them). It's by completing the short, You've Got Mail quest by visiting the post office in Nahant. The reward you get for completing it will put many other locations on your map.
Bug Report, Troubleshooting, and General Help Section Any bug reports or troubleshooting questions should be searched for before being asked. If your question is new or you can't find an appropriate answer in the database (or the wiki) then feel free to ask a new one. I will get an email notification and answer within 24 hours.
Notes on Atomic Radio: I had to take down the file with custom music, will upload a safe version with only vanilla music, to add your custom tracks, you'll need to enable loose files and add tracks 01.wav, 02.wav, all the way to 44.wav (or 01.xwm if WAV isn't working for you) to this folder:
Data\Sound\fx\mus\radio\atomicradio\FM\
***If you want to download the version with custom music added, you have to go to, you guessed it, http://3dnpc.com.***
Twitter: If you like, you can follow me on twitter here. Nothing to do with mods though. I'll also be posting some trailers and content on my Patreon page.
I'm trying to install this mod in Vortex but it is giving me an error saying that the 3dnpc_fo4.esp file requires DLCrobot.esm, which is the file for the Automatron DLC, which I do not own. The Mod page however says this mod should not require any DLC, so I'm not sure what's going on there. I have looked around and found one other user on reddit who had the same problem but no solution was offered. Any help would be appreciated!
Есть где нибудь видео на этот квест?Я прихожу в 5 утра, я прихожу в 5 вечера к этим могилам.Что делать? Кстати этот квест у меня висит уже где то полгода,думал сейчас может быть получится.
Easiest solution especially for weapon mods with unique ammo is the console. -quick save just to be safe -open console -type: "help 7.62mm 4" (or what ever ammo, you see the required ammo listed on the top of the weapon's stats) -pick the ID with the Ammo tag in front. -player.additem ID 99999 -Give it to your companion.
Crazy amount of bugs with Audrey's questline Under the Bridge. I ended up spending far longer on this quest than I should have just because it kept throwing issues at me. I'm posting it here since you're (the mod author) not taking advantage of the bugs section built into the Nexus site. Going to post here how I fixed the issues for anyone else that may come looking here.
The first bug was after a certain point of traveling to the estate with both Audrey and Margaret, Margaret decides to become permanently hostile to me specifically. Seems to happen after a firefight with hostiles. After about an hour of searching for a fix and trying a plethora of various console commands and methods, I found that running the command recycleactor on Margaret fixes the issue whenever she becomes hostile, and didn't seem to interfere with her role in the quest as she still follows and participates in it when required at the estate.
Second bug is after opening the safe and trying to conclude the quest, I try to talk to Audrey to complete the quest, she says two lines of dialogue, and then nothing happens. It never prompts me to continue the dialogue, and the camera stays fixed on her while she taunts me for not participating in conversation like a person is supposed to. I fixed this by finding the quest id (xx00201c, where xx can be found by running the command help f3dnpc_ComAudreyQuest, and looking for the entry for the quest), and then running the command: setstage xx00201c 400. Again, xx is in relation to the load order number and it is NOT actually xx. 400 is the final stage of the quest that completes it, and the only thing that is missing is the rest of the dialogue in that conversation, so it's not skipping any major steps.
It's entirely possible some other mod is conflicting, though I found a few reddit threads with people having the same issues, which is what let me to the setstage fix.
Is there any possibility of problems with the next gen update? Even if this is the only mod I have enabled, I am getting an immediate ctd at the first load screen upon starting the game. Everything loads fine otherwise. Edit: never mind. Not sure what happened but I downloaded the mod again and replaced the old files and things work fine now. :/
Hello guys, sorry to bother you, I'm having trouble with the Aubrey Quest since I cannot acess Valenti station (I can reach the door but can't interact with it to join the station). Willing to try anything I'm just not experienced with mods. Now how to detect wich ones are giving trouble.
LuckyMorris, the author of the Spanish translation, noted that once Tales is installed, you have to copy the content of the translation and overwrite the files, otherwise it will not work well.
He also has translations for the Tales DLC mod and the Settlers mod.
Some things in Spanish are just better, like the Despacito song.

Heavy dialogue options, multiple endings, and choices throughout. Basically if you like TFTC you might enjoy this as well.
