this mod isn't bad in concept but it's definitely catered to exactly one person's needs and to be frank you can solve the issue the author had that caused them to make this mod in the first place with the first rank in Local Leader and an okay supply network. Or literally just one supply line from a settlement that has lots of food to the castle. i understand that's not really in any way tutorialized in the game itself but at this point it's basic resource management and i'm shocked there are entire mods to circumvent it
Any chance for a version that gives +12 food and water? instead of +20 food? I feel 20 is high for how small the restaurants are. The Bar could give 12 water and 6 food [or 9 and 9], while the Drink Stand could give 6 food and water (assuming they also sell snacks). *similar to how much a farmer can make.*
General stores could give food and water as well, though maybe less than the restaurants. Perhaps 3/3, 6/6, and 9/9. Id also like to see the weapon and armor shop give defense, perhaps 12, 9 and 6. Maybe they'd make more money and have more money to buy things to balance it out too.
To balance the other shops maybe clinics could provide actual buffs to the settlers in that settlement like Max HP gained or some HP/radiation regen of sorts, something like 1/2/3 every second for everyone in the settlement.
Im not sure what clothing stores could do, perhaps just an increased happiness bonus. Maybe the clothing store also doubles as a cleaner of clothes, which would make everyone happier to not be wearing dirty clothes all the time. :p Perhaps it somehow lowers the chance to be raided, or gives a production bonus. Are settlers still limited to 6 food?
What's the likelyhood of this working with Sim Settlements? I have no idea if it uses a standardized type of shop for all of it's different restaurant plots. Failing that Thematic and Practical would certainly benefit from having this neat and amazing mod. :D I don't suppose it would be possible to edit the base restaurant form so that all mods that add shops could benefit?
It would be awesome if you could patch/ collaborate with teh peeps over at Sim's Settlements! I personally use that for most settlements but I have a soft spot for building cute little diners and I too, have a giant mess hall for the Castle and they always complain about FOOD! It's a little unbalanced but I love it. Definately endorsed.
For some reason mine has decided to stop working, the vanilla Restaurant no longer gives me +20 Food, and i've spent all morning trying to figure out why as it worked fine before
The Homemaker one works for them, but the Homemaker ones don't show as actual shops for me, just floor mats, which is shit.
