I been given permission from Cebius2 to maintain, update and continue this mod while they are enduring the harshness of depression. Things have gone pretty badly for them, much in that there is alot of personal things in wich i cannot discuss giving out.

If any of you got any questions about the mod itself, please feel free to ask while im getting familier with it and what needs to be fixed. Thank you for your understanidng people.

25th August 2017 Edit: Alright, i took my time to take a look at the mod file and all that, and well, all i can say is this. Its broken, very broken.

It is clear that this mod was made during when Cebius2 was endruing alot of stress and depression, and alot of things where rushed to meet the demand. I dont blame them for it.

But without further delay, here is a Q&A about things that i thought will be obvious and what the future of the mod will be.
    -
Q: What will happen to the console ports of the mod?
A: Thats a fair question. Since i have no access to them, i wont be able to update them. I may be able to ask Cebius2 to update them with the new files if needed, but i wouldnt want to stress them. I could reupload them on my own account there.

Q: What plans are you having for the mod?
A: Start completely fresh. As mentioned before, Cebius2 rushed most of the things, and made the mod somewhat incompadible with alot of other mods, and even after uninstall of the mod, the player is still a Ghoul. This is a problem for Console players as they lack the console commands (though a kind user managed to test things out, and i will write a guide on how to fix that). One of the main plans is to start fresh and isntead of using the actual ghoul race entry, i be creating a douplicate that is seperate from the original. THe game doenst have RaceProxy thing going on for the player anyways aside from the gender.

Q: Some may still like the old version, will it be kept?
A: Since its Cebius2's file, i wont thouch it. It will be there as a seperate mod for those who prefere it.

    Q: new version when?
A: No ETA. But i make sure to make the mod as conviniently stable as possible and i do my best to support it. I thank you all for your patience and trust in this mod.

    -2021 Q&A-
Q: Is this compadible with Classic Ghouls Replacer?
A: Not exactly. From what i understand, that mod uses a seperate ''race'' so to speak, so even if you install both, you end up playing as the Fallout 4 ghoul, not the replacer variant. Maybe one day i might be able to fix such patch.

Has anyone fixed the human nose ghoul texture bug if you add this on mid play thru? I've tried doing the set race bit back to human and changed preset in looks menu but then it brown faces's and hangs with a infinite loading circle and never loads a preset. I've also set rave to human and back to ghoul but that doesn't  change anything either

Does anyone know how to make only the male protagonist be a ghoul, I'm using the Nora Spouse Companion mod and I would like her to keep her human appearance, if not, nothing can happen, it was more than anything to know if I could modify it in some way.

Hi. Sorry to bother; I can't seem to get the rad immunity working consistently on either build. It will work, I will load a save or change area and then it stops working. Then when I load a save it works again until changing areas, etc. Same happens if I do addspell, it will suddenly stop working. Eating food and drinking water still adds rads, or is that unfixable/intended? Is it just when being in irradiated areas?

    Cheers.

Edit to add: Can confirm it works for world-radiation (i.e, water or radioactive barrels, etc), but drinking and eating and such still causes rad damage.

Is there any way to convert this to FO76?

No, it does not. Since Fallout 76 is an online game, it does not support loading of ESP or ESM files. Unless that changes and to give us private servers for all, sadly this isnt possible.

Will I still be able to play as a human?

Yes, but you better disable the mod first before starting a new game. If you wish to switch back to human, then you may need to first disable the mod, load a save, then use the command on your character Setrace Humanrace. You may still have no nose but thats fixable by loading a preset with the LooksMenu (Either vanilla or modded) with the command slm 14, or showlooksmenu player 1

I wouldnt recommend switching race like this tho mid playtrough since there can be some issues.

Years late to the party but finally gave this a shot for a fun ghoul playthrough. Works very well, no issues. Was able to easily change up the face using the Looksmenu mod, ghouls revamped textures and the start me up mod.

Thank you to Cebius2 and Lynxgal for breathing some life into the game again for me.

      Thank you, I appreciate it!
I should mention that you still need the original mod if you want to be a ghoul, my mod only fixes the rad immunity perk.

How you installed it? Via a mod manager or manualy?
Also, make sure that both mods are active (There is a checkbox you have to click to fill it to activate the mods).

Also, if you have gameplay overhaul mods, make sure that teh ghoul mod is loaded further down.

Awesome work btw ... There's a glitch or bug with the bald hairstyle still showing hair as well as your synth son being half ghoul looking other than that this is awesome... Thank you for posting this to Xbox as well...one more thing any chance on a glowing version

Havent reached the institute as a ghoul before so i wasnt aware of that glitch, and the hair thing is a pretty common glitch (Worked fine during our testings so its mostly a player's mod setup from what i seen and heard).

As for the glowing variant, that belongs to Nuka World, which i dont own sadly, so cant make such version, yet. Maybe when theres a sale i buy it and make a Glowing Ghoul version.

Which version would you regard as the most stable right now? I’m fine with either but I just want to minimise the possibly of me having to restart my game if something messes up.

I would say cebius2's version, as that one is true tested (tried playing trough the game and both automatron and far harbour worked fine). the other version that was made by me, was more of a test version, but uploaded as is.

I defintly recommend download the file that was uploaded 29 Sep 2016 (Revamped Playable Ghoul) for best possible experience.

Thanks much! I barely have enough brainpower to download mods so this helped lol

Now all I need to do is find out which other mod is messing up my hair…
