I''m very late to the party on this one, but this mod just isn't working for me. I tried installing it with NMM and normally, but no dice. I do have other mods like Homemaker and True Storms (and much more) in the mod list as well. Are these affecting my outcome? Where should I place this mod in the load order to get it to work?
I tried to write my name in 24ft-high letters in the middle of my settlement (right on the big screen in Starlight) and wiring it all up has caused huge problems with my framerate. This should help fix that problem - I hope.
Edit: Looks like Bethesda fixed the wiring problem in the 1.5 update, so this probably isn't necessary anymore.

Can you make it for roof and floor too? And clean? It`s so cool. I tried out other mods, but with the generators and cables I don`t like it so much. It´s very awesome.

i have tried this and it works with street lights that cannot be directly connected to grid.
