Excellent Tutorial Daniel. A very thorough guide that explains things step by step. I was working on a couple armor standalone retextures that got nowhere until your video. I really appreciate the time & effort you put into this. Cheers!

One of the most helpful modding tutorials I've seen. Didn't realize it was also here on the Nexus. Great work

2nd Edit: i found the Error, i forgot to make the Overlay in Paint net and to set the Blend File correct, thats why i got a Pink Jacket.

Your videos are very informative and you explain everything in detail. I was wondering if you have a video on how to make a plugin to change the games follower Cait's facegen, hair and clothes mods. If so could you post a link here? If you don't have one would you consider doing a video on that?

    Thank you

Watched the video, it clearly explains the way how the game handles files and how and where to edit them. Well done. I would love to see a blueprint for mesh import export for 3ds, or equivalent though as well. In example for starters Id like to modify an existing mesh, similar to mesh improvement mod for skyrim.

You should go there and download the latest plugins for Max from 2009 to 2015.I tested 2012 with not much problem except for some tweaks. But the FO4 meshes import/export without problems.

Thank you I was stuck on how to add my textures to my standalone. I was able to make customs textures and make standalone armors already and even put them in containers, but couldn't connect the textures, lol. This video helped with that and more I would of never thought to opened the meshes in nifskope and check the properties.
