Any plans for a retex that brings back the ammo boxes from the previous games? Or at least more lore friendly textures (e.g. 5.56mm ammo box has a colt family rifle which didn't really exist in the Fallout universe)?

Also hunting rifle in Fallout 1 and 2 was made by colt company if colt exists as a company then I don't see why M16 platform wouldn't exist as well

Colt in the fallout universe didn't exist in the same way ours does. How's the weather like up there on your high horse Wallettheif lol

You might be interested in Josh Sawyer's response to the whole real weapons thing:
"In general, I prefer to give weapons functional names and avoid getting wrapped up in specific designations used by manufacturers or the military. Because our weapons must, for technical reasons, occasionally differ functionally from the weapons upon which they are based (different caliber, charging handle placement, receiver height, stock shape/length, etc.) giving them a more utilitarian name helps negate some of the potential pedantry over those deviations.
There are no AR-15s, Colt Commandos, Browning Hi-Powers, BFRs, M1 Garands, Winchester 1886s, 1887s, or 1892s in Fallout: New Vegas -- just Service Rifles, Assault Carbines, 9mm Pistols, Hunting Revolvers, This Machine, Brush Guns, Lever-Action Shotguns, and Cowboy Repeaters.
That's also why there are no M1911s or Thompsons in Honest Hearts, but you'll find plenty of .45 Auto Pistols and .45 Auto Submachine Guns."

In fact, from what I can remember, it was either Avellone or Sawyer who said that in hindsight they probably shouldn't have used real world weapons in FO2.

One little problem: The texture for .308 is wrong. "Caliber .30 M1" refers to .30-06, not .308. In metric, .30-06 is 7.62x63mm, while .308 is 7.62x51mm. I know it's really nitpicky, but I thought I should point it out.

    Hi.

I noticed an error in your mod. Some of the boxes say "10 MM", what they should say is "Best MM".

    Thanks, love your mod!

I tried to install the first file with the Nexus Mod Manager and when I went in game it didn't work. Upon looking at the zipped file I noticed that it was packaged incorrectly. To fix this, do the following:
Create a New Folder somewhere and name it 'Textures.'
Download the first file manually (outside of Nexus Mod Manager if you're using it).
    Open the zipped file.
Drag the 'Ammo' folder from the zipped file into the 'textures' folder you created.
Repackage everything with your archiver of choice (I use 7zip) and make sure that the name of your new zipped file retains the name of the original zipped file you downloaded (i.e., "Ammunition Box Brands-751-1-0").
Once done use the mod manager of your choice to install.
    Hope that helps.

Why does NMM say there is a 1.1 update, but I can't find it in the files list?

Edit: this appears to be fixed.

    Edit2: Nope, still broken

Still getting a 1.1 version, but when downloading and installing, it still shows up as 1.0, even manual download and installing through NMM shows 1.0.

Since there is technically no ESP and is just texture changes, there is no 'versioning' to go with it. So it would have to be an over-write issue with NMM not properly identifying the differences/changes in the modified files.

All the downloads in the "Files" section are marked as version 1.0, the latest version on the mod within the nexus site is set to 1.1, that's why it's being flagged, we need the mod author to update the download file or the mod details.

Great mod, but I would like to mention this as well. The file version and the version you set in attributes should match in order to avoid confusion. Again, though, great work on the textures.

Every 3rd mod author does this ... my NMM mod list is full of phantom-updates ... there's no way for me now to tell wether a mod actually has an update ready for me ...

Really enjoy these textures, but wish it wasn't marked as 1.1 when only 1.0 is available to download.

These are textures no esp plugin is required for texture files. Lookup up Gopher on Youtube he has many videos dedicated to modding Bethesda games, I would advise you to watch them ...
