I use this for closely spaced structures/buildings with their own switches from a shared pwr source and the switches/lights don't seem to interfere with eachother! GREAT!!!
Which makes me say the wiring and switches you have in FO4 do not work like they do in real life... wouldn't that be possible then?
As for your question, yes electricity in this game works more like WIFI in real life. All the conduits work by creating a sphere around them and electronics within the sphere get power wirelessly. What this mod does under the hood is reduce the size of that sphere, and for "hook conduits" the sphere is simply removed entirely. The only way to make it work like electricity does in real life is set the sphere size really small. But because of the placement limits in the game and issues with how the devices receive that wireless power ("receiver spheres" ), it would be a nightmare to make it work. Possible sure but sooooo much mind-numbing number tweaking and testing.... Considering the amount of time I would have to invest in it and the fact that this mod has garnered so little interest, I don't think it's going to happen. In fact the only way I can see myself doing it would be if I was paid for it and I just don't think paid mods are gonna catch on for at least 3-5 years.
Nice! Thanks for the mod. Now I can keep my defenses on when I turn the lights off and the wires aren't a complete mess. I had been using turrets to connect them and boy the wires were just a mess.

Edit. I took the lazy route on this and just uploaded new files. New power poles included (0-radius pylons that were previously missing)
btw: You're mod could get more attention with some pics.
