That's the point, you have to assign them to it. The perk is that the NPCs will stay there a long time. Other mods, such as Invisible Furniture (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13343) let settlers choose the rugs randomly, but the con is that they will not stay there a long time and there's a high chance they wouldn't even touch it.
Is there a way to make a ghost mesh of the animation so we can place them down the correct way? It takes so long to get these to look right because its so much guess work.
I cannot see the rugs in the workshop menu, is there something im doing wrong? i have both files installed and i cant see the rugs either in the workshop or not
I place down the rugs but can't assign settlers to them or find them at all when placed, I also use the visible rug add on but still can't see them. Does anyone know why?
Very fun mod. I use this to keep my settlers busy (there's only so many stores and crops that you can assign folks to lol) and to improve settler happiness. It works great!
Do yourself a favor and get the Settlement Menu Manager (SMM) patch for this mod if you plan on using it. It's linked in the requirements section. Otherwise it can break your menus in Workshop mode.

For example you press F8 to toggle them invissible/vissible. Are you looking for your rugs in the settlement? Press the shortcut and they become vissible. Pres it again and the become invisible. That would be great.
