(Replying to old post to help others with same question) It just changes the appearance of the wood shack concrete floor blocks (structures>wood>floors), it doesn't repair the castle walls. It changes the texture of the wood shack floor blocks to mimic the castle walls so when you repaired the walls yourself, it matches better. The down side is you now longer have the plain-sided concrete look anymore.
(Replying to old post to help others with same issue) I did the same thing and found the problem to be a load-order issue with another mod. (In my specific case, I was using this mod with Stackable Concrete Foundations, and had this mod loading after Stackable... once I switched it so that this mod loaded first, then Stackable, everything started working fine.)
One item of note: Unistalling and reinstalling this mod will give you the "newer" version automatically, not the old version. If you get the newer version of the mod because you uninstalled/reinstalled, or if you intentionally upgrade the old version, all of the wood shack concrete foundation blocks in your current builds will change, as described below. If you want the old version of the mod (see the difference below), uninstall the new version, then manually download and install the old version file: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6802?tab=files
The old version changes the texture on the side of the wood shack concrete foundation blocks [structures>wood>floors>shack foundation (279) & (281)] from a plain concrete texture into the texture on the castle walls (looks like stone blocks). Block (279), which was plain concrete on all 6 sides now will have the castle texture on all 6 sides, but block (281), which had the wood flooring on top, will only get the castle texture on the sides of the block. In both cases, you loose the plain concrete side texture and if your build needs it, you'll have to use a floor block from a different structure (like the warehouse or barn, which have completely different top textures than the wood shack blocks). Bummer.
The "newer" version of the mod only changes one block, the "shack foundation (281)" (the wood-flooring topped block), but leaves "shack foundation (279)" (the plain concrete topped block) alone, so you have a plain concrete floor foundation block to work with, but not one with a wood top. My work-around is to use "shack foundation block (279)" (plain block) and put "shack floor (421)" (thin wood floor) on top of it.
YUP! Ive done that. Def wish there were settings so i don't have to worry as much. Nothing like spending 10 minutes fiddling around with decorations in sanctuary only to have to reload a save because you accidentally deleted a house.
Scrapping a radroach as its attacking is pretty entertaining, though!
Considering it is a mesh/texture replacer type mod, all you need to do is drag and drop into your data folder. or if using MO2, place below other texture mods. One of the easier type of mods to install.Very much worth your time to have this mod.
I would like this to be independent, I mean, that this block could be built "apart" from the original, like for example the Fadingsignal brahmins feeder, create a new model next to the original, in case you want to have the 2 .
It would be ideal that this was the same, this block of concrete next to the original, evidently you need an .esp file for this, that for me is not a problem, I do not get to 100 plugins xD to have the option would be interesting, it is the only thing that it prevents him from using it.
This is a nice mod and I simply like it for the way the concrete replacement texture looks (concrete structures SHOULD look concrete-y and more like blocks!) i'm using it with Sandbag fortifications to make building look aesthetically a bit more interesting.
anyway thanks its a good mod even if you dont care about minutemen/castle. I have not noticed any problems
