Did you get the sound effect from Fury3? It sounds almost exactly like one of the weapon sounds from that game.

Awesome effect and sound. Hopefully you will give it a more original model when the tools get released

Cool mod. I like the blue display number texture you did. So I just wanted to use those on my gauss rifle. I copied the files from Textures\ over and it all works great until i change weapons or even holster and draw my weapon..the red glow reappears like the red numbers are showing..

Before holstering (just after loading game): http://p455w0rd.net/fo4/ScreenShot3.png
After drawing/changing back to gauss rifle: http://p455w0rd.net/fo4/ScreenShot5.png

Do you know of any way to permanently get rid of (or replace) the red glow?

Thats a lighting effect within the guns model I think - You probably need to open the parts of the gun up in nifskope and find the correct entry and then remove it. AKA a total nightmare to figure out - What confuses me, is why would it only happen after holstering? If anybody else has ideas on where this value is, please let us know here!

Well I've never modded for anything bethesda before, but you giving me that one keyword has helped immensely Lookie here:

The issue from before with the holstering I'm assuming is a bug where the lighting just doesn't render sometimes. I had no clue about nifskope so I downloaded it, and of course it didn't work with fo4..so I did some hunting and found the current pre-alpha..and to my suprise, it worked! I have dabbled in modelling with maya and using the Unreal Engines over the years so I'm not completely new to this I guess..anyway, the two nif files you need for this are in the same directory as the screenshots: http://p455w0rd.net/fo4/ and you're more than welcome to add them to your mod if you wish...that damn red light was ruining the immersion for me XD

Thanks a lot for figuring this out! I'm planning to update the mod anyway, probably this weekend - So now I know that setting is infact in the nif files I'll go find it and update it.

    Could you make this standalone?

I honestly tried to do this - I don't think its possible, I'm going to keep trying though, I got like half of it working but there's some parts I don't know how to include.

    Looks freeking awesome!
Sadly tho, I really don't want the gameplay changes: long range bullet holes, instant sprint, jet drug replacement, motion blur removed. Also, does the jet pack change replace all jet packs ingame?

Would be excellent as a standalone weapon, ideally non-replacer. Will be tracking for updates.

Really love the look and feel of what your going for here, great work
