Every time i press crtl to stealth my dogmeat is getting invisible for a couple of seconds, than turns back to normal again. Anyone an idea how to fix this? It is caused by this mod for sure because when I turn off this mod, the problem seems to be solved.
It's the Chameleon effect for a second right? That comes with rank 5 of the Sneak trait.
Try this while you have the mod installed: Open Console->click on Dogmeat so you get his ID on the screen-> type: .removeperk 000b9881
This should remove rank 5 of the sneaking perk. I was fed up with my companions beeing so loud and clumsy I cheated them good by myself. You can also increase their SPECIAL stats although most stats don't give them any advantage.
Allows you to adjust follower distance - So they don't block doorways you're trying to get out of, or decide to have a group hug with you and a Deathclaw.
Reduced the follower charge distance - In other words, stops followers breaking stealth to charge forward into traps, and Dogmeat from continuing to run forward chasing imaginary RadSquirrels when you stop walking/running and enter stealth.
Stops Dogmeat from standing right in front of you to demand belly tickles when you're trying to loot containers & bodies.
Stops followers walking in front of you. No more nuking yourself when trying to fling mini-nukes at Super Mutes.
I have a feeling "Doesn't affect stealth meter" is a flag that would stop an NPC from changing your sneak meter to [Detected]. Followers already don't do that.
Edit: Tested this with Codsworth before he offers to be follower, with the "Doesn't affect stealth meter" flag he still [Detected] me. The flag doesn't seem to do a lot when he is follower either. He can be detected but you can still be in stealth with both the flag on and off.
Made it compatible with unofficial patch. Companions have more health + DR & ER so they don't die every minute (survival + damage overhaul, so they might never die on normal), added perk points to Strong because he didn't have any & added no fall damage (so that mod becomes obsolete). NOT compatible with any companion overhaul or companion face overhaul (need to carry over these changes or carry over that mod's changes with xedit).
I remember absolutely loving this mod years ago as it is essential for a snipe / sneak build. It's pathetic of bethesda how atrocious they made companions function with a widely popular build type in the game and this mod corrected it perfectly.
I come back to play this game 5 years later to discover the mod no longer working? Sad and disgusted again.
Well, this mod kinda sucks, tbh. First hand impression here. Sometimes in a fight companions can stuck in some glitched state, being absolutely useless doing nothing and can be walked through (!). So this mod bugs companions
