About this mod
Tired of Diamond City guards throwing themselves at supermutants with pipe pistols and no HP to speak of? This mod adds HP and defenses as well as an automatic combat rifle to the base template that all guards use.
- Permissions and credits
1. Increase base HP stats and adds perks
This changes the base stats of the Diamond City guards and all npc's that use their template to be tougher.
- 8 Endurance (up from 0)
- Toughness perk lvl 2
- Lifegiver perk lvl 3
- Refractor perk lvl 2
- Base health 300 (up from 150)
This means they won't die vs the Super Mutants in the first skirmish you encounter after crossing the bridge to Diamond City. They will also not die vs random raiders or dogs on the other side of the city.
2. Change default fire arm to combat rifle and add stimpak to inventory
- This changes their default rifle (The pipe rifle) to an automatic combat rifle. This is the levelled variant so it will scale with attachments and damage propperties the higher level the guards are.
- Adds a stimpak to the inventory so even if they go low they can heal themselves.
Notes:
1. This mod conflicts with Varied Diamond City Guards, but you can use both as long as Varied Diamond City Guards mod is loaded before this mod. The conflicting part of the mod is not used in Varied Diamond City Guards and the mod will function with the settings overwritten.
2. This mod should not conflict with any clothing or weapon changes as this changes the base stats of the actual NPC and simply adds the vanilla reference to the automatic assault rifle. Any change in clothes or rifles that use the same references should work as normal.
Why?
I got tired of seeing DC guards being completely useless in every fight. I made this mod for myself and decided to upload it. It's not a spectacular mod, but it gets the job done :D
