Literal perfection. This mod does exactly what it says it does and if anyone else is interested: it did wonders for the Pugmeat mod where little Pugmeat might occasionally attack other companions or when allies might attack Pugmeat. He is now his own little companion and I'm so proud of him T__T

Just finished reading thru comments. Really enjoyed the learning experiences of the fallout frat-house post Learned more from this than in Any training video I've seen! It should be labelled Required Reading 101 for all new players. Roll on!

This mod contradicts itself. It states there's NO need for console commands yet you need console commands to enable it. Uninstalled

I found a fix to turn the NPC back to normal. In command click on the NPC and type: setplayerteammate 0

didn't know this either, id' be great if people didn't talk s#*! to others merely trying to pass along helpful information to those that don't know... i mean theres a time when you didn't know.... anything, right? if you went around saying "yeah we already knew that dumbass" everytime you and what you considered the majority knew, there would be quite a few people left in the dark... js

The bat file only has two commands and so cannot work. You need *all* the commands.

(The author, JediJosh920, was very inexperienced and had no idea what he was doing.)

Alright, let me help everyone. (This only works for 2 npcs)
    setrelationshiprank player 4
    setplayerteammate 1
    setconsolescopequest followers
(You have to physically type this part in console) forcerefintoalias companion (or dogmeatcompanion)
The NPC is now a companion, they need ammo for whatever weapon they have though, they are also now essential.
When you set an npc to dogmeatcompanion they wont pull out their weapon unless they are in battle, don't worry that they don't unholster when you do, if you get in a fight they will pull it out.

So this worked for me (adding the line "setconsolescopequest followers" to the bat and manually typing in "forcerefintoalias companion" in the console with the NPC targeted). So thank you very much for those tips.

Now I have the issue of a scaredy cat follower though. I tried using setav aggression and confidence in the console on the targeted NPC but it returned a no value function, the values are in the game though... a console search returned 2bc and 2bd for aggression and confidence respectively. thought maybe you or someone here may have found a way to get an ordinary NPC not to cower in the middle of a firefight.

Thanks again for the tips and hopefully someone here sees this and has a solution for my current predicament.

EDIT: So it seems I have fixed my own dilemma! I was trying the old Skyrim technique of "setav aggression 1-4" while FO4 does not recognize "aggression" however it will recognize "00002bc" as aggression! So "setav 00002bc 0-3" works! 0 being unaggresive and 3 being frenzied.... to sum up

      in console target NPC:
      Aggression: setav 2bc 0-3 (0 = cowardly up to 3 = frenzied)
      Confidence: setav 2bd 0-4 (0 = unconfident up to 4 = fanatical)
Assistance: setav 2c1 0-2 (0 = no assistance, 1 assist friends, 2 assist friends and allies)

as near as I can tell anyway... Happy recruiting!

      Hey people
I've been using this method that I'm about to share:

So, I wanted to make something like a squad of mine to explore the Commonwealth, but I had problems with getting more than 3 of the game's companions to follow me. With the help of our saviors Spartan116 and Einbjorn and some knowledge that I've acquired reading all sorts of things about followers and companions this is my solution:
You can have as many game's companions as you like following you (they'll even draw and holster their weapons when you do - basically they'll be behaving as they should if they were your only companions) just by clicking on whomever you want to make your follower and typing in the console - without the quotation marks:
"setconsolescopequest [name of the companion you want (danse, curie, cait, piper, etc...)]"
"forcerefintoalias [same name you typed in the second step (first step was clicking on the follower)]"
      "setplayerteammate 1"
Aaaand that's it. You can use it as many times as you like, make a team of 6 people if you want to.
For dogmeat or for a random NPC (I like to use it on members of my allied factions) you should type (again without the quotation marks):
      "setconsolescopequest followers"
"forcerefintoalias companion" OR if it is dogmeat you want "forcerefintoalias dogmeatcompanion"
      "setplayerteammate 1"

Also, I saw in another post (sorry if I don't remember your name, just reply if you see this and people will know you originally said it) someone mentioned that setrelationshiprank player 4 will put the selected NPC as your "lover". The standard should be 3, and then it decreases to -4 (negative 4) which basically means that you and the selected NPC are arch-enemies.

PS: You'll need this mod as well http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3605/?
PSS: English is not my first language, so pardon me for any mistakes that compromised your understanding my post.

This mod does. not. work. It would be easier to make someone a follower through the console than this. They dont even follow you.
