I'm British and did military training (CCF) from 14-18 alongside my education at school. Its interesting to see how it is done abroad!
It seems crazy to me that mandatory service still exists in South Korea. You only need border defence systems active like missile silos, border patrol and standby. The North is all bark, no bite.

Yeah, instead they receive Su Ryeon Hoe(school retreat). To start ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. But it's absolutely not a military purpose, let just say collaboration of High Muckety-Muck of School doesn't give a s@it except their pocket and Korean College of Physical Education Farcists Man/Woman(kind like a United State Militias doesn't even a Service Record) whose they think live in 3rd Reich and act like Military Instructor I'm graduate high school 5 years ago but still hate those Korean CoPE Bastards/Bitches. Urghhh...!
ehh i wroth korean but it didn't showed up lol it resembles just like the cold war era, regarding the game storyline's pre-war anticommunistic atmosphere. cool!
well, personally. i think that era is totally disaster..... even modern ROK Army is still a problem, but rather than that "GOOD OLD KOREA" era Army. just imagine you must service in Military THREE years more like Imperial Japanese Army,with babaric senior soldier who such pain in the ass. that's really horrible...
