Great and update! I've been waiting. This mod should be MUCH MORE ENDORSED, it's an idea that Bethesda should have had in game and it is a great way to deal with really dark nights/mods etc. that makes sense in a fallout 4 sort of way. Love it, just wanted to come back and say that. This little mod is indispensable for its utility, and it always brings a smile to my face to eat an eyeball it's just so sick!
I love this MOD it's somehow so FUN! Plus the nightvision is really useful. I agree to lower rates a bit, if 25% it seems pretty common to find an eyeball...should be sort of rare since ghouls usually explode so violently by the time you kill them it's hard to find an intact head.
Yeah I think I am going to change the find rate to 15% chance, and the time of the effect to maybe just 1 minute. I find that it is a little too long. I'm sorry I haven't done this sooner but My HUD is consuming all of my time.
could you add a "Hardcore" version where the eyeballs only have like a 15% chance of dropping and only work for like 45 seconds max along with penalties like increase rads or food poisoning or addiction I like doing extreme difficulty play through : )

PS: I think Ghouls had something to do with Night Vision in FO3? I may be wrong there where so many Mods and even more ideas passed around that we ended up getting confused between what we had used, what we had added and what was still in our imaginations? That was with the Fookunity Site where FOOK2 was done and also where some of the original Weapons Mod Kits where tweaked by Anistar himself to suit the FOOK2 additions
If you want to balance it, maybe make add it to the canibal perk only? Ghouls are irradiated humans after all and eating their eyeballs is pretty gross, so it would fit to a canibal I guess.

Here are my suggestions for the mod. Rad levels, drop chance, & duration for balance?
For duration, I don't know. I was going to do it buy 1 minute each & but obvious roamer would have 2 & stalker would be 3 & so forth.
I also thought maybe your head should get crit if you eat too many. It would make your vision blurry as a side effect.
Feral ghoul - Rads 20 / Drop / Drop 10%
Feral ghoul roamer - Rads 40 / Drop 20%
Feral ghoul stalker - Rads 60 / Drop 30%
Feral ghoul reaver - Rads 80 / Drop 40%
Withered feral ghoul - Rads 100 / Drop 50%
Gangrenous feral ghoul - Rads 120 / Drop 60%
Rotting feral ghoul - Rads 140 / Drop 70%
Charred feral ghoul - Rads 160 / Drop 80%
Glowing one - Rads 180 / Drop 90%
