I just want to learn the secrets of the depths as i havent seen anyone covering lands under water. Maybe theres nothing - but maybe theres things invisible to the naked blurry eye^^
If you only care about removing the hideous aim-down-sight blur and know how to make the game auto execute txt files just put this into your auto execute file:
I posted the technical details near the bottom of the description, but I have no idea if the names of things are similar to Skyrim as I've only ever attempted to mod Fallout 4.
This is an amazing mod and there's no question it worked for me in the past (I used it years ago) but I think an update from Bethesda adjusted how the effect works - or I've got a conflict I can't pin down. The command: setgs fIronSightsDOFStrength also failed to work for me. Regardless I was able to eventually remove the iron sight DoF effect again by adjusting another game setting in xEdit, that being: fIronSightsDOFRange
I set this to 99999.000000 and it removed the ironsight DoF for me. I've got to admit though I don't truly understand what this setting does and only discovered this solution by trail and error.

Or unless you have shitty eyesight to begin with (like me) and having dark murky water doesn't help at all.

nakedblurry eye^^Though, I haven't tested the game in 8 years, so I don't know if a patch ever fixed it.
Thanks for confirming, and that it still works with Vortex. One day I really need to get FO4 setup and working again.. and actually finish the game.
setgs fIronSightsDOFStrength 0
Now you don't have to download and use the .esp!
i would lovee to keep the underwter Dof
