Unfortunately, neither of the files necessary to make these work with ballistic weave are still available.

    Thanks guys! Truly collective effort!
Finally have nice hair and hat that protects but ... does not interfere

    Sequence of install:
    1. Invisible Hairpins (this mod)
    2. Fix for mesh and weave by Vorphs https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55725946/HairpinsWeave.7z
Rename HairpinsWeave.7z to "Invisible Hairpins-Weave.7z" and add it in NMM (renaming keeps it easy to spot)
    3. Fix for Legendary by DanielLeonHeart http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=04400811695013827008
Rename HairpinsWeave.zip to "Invisible Hairpins-WeavePlus.7z" and add it in NMM (renaming keeps it easy to spot).
    Overwrite when asked
    4. Enjoy

any chance of adding ballistic weave support?

I know that seems kind of broken, but my hat has 110 defense, and I do not want to lose it... but I want my hair too. such difficult decisions.

The mod can easily be edited to support ballistic weave, but the hairpins were made invisible by removing the mesh reference entirely and that's a big no-no as far as the armorsmithing bench is concerned. Since a mesh is required to actually apply the weave without getting stuck in the workbench, the simplest solution is to take an existing hat mesh, load it into NifSkope, and scale it down to like 0.001.

I've done all this for myself, but since the mod doesn't have permissions set I don't think I'm allowed to make a edited version available. I'll see about making an override version of my edits that can be installed after this mod for the same effect.

Edit: Here's that override version -- https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/55725946/HairpinsWeave.7z ... just extract it into your Data directory and make sure in NMM that the esp is in the load order *after* Hairpins.esp. Only did quick testing, crafted one of each hairpin and made sure it was invisible and that I could apply Ballistic Weave 5 to it, so post back if there's any problem.

Kaishonachi, if you want to integrate what I did back into your mod, feel free.

I added on to Vorphs addon. http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=04400811695013827008

Now you have Misc mods and possible legendary making it compatible with http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4042/?

to install DL and install mod then Vorph's and finally install this one over top of his.

      and as Vorph said
Kaishonachi, if you want to integrate what I did back into your mod, feel free.

Can you guys give a quick direction on how to make a mesh invisible? You do it in nif via Nifskope (or Outfit Studio), or edit value in FO4Edit, or edit material files?

One of the best, underrated mods on the Nexus. I downloaded DanielLeonHeart's add-on and now I can benefit from Ballistic Weave without having to wear a stupid-looking hat!

This mod is absolutely wonderful! So much more lore friendly and immersive than all those "invisible hats" mods. Now all I need is someone to make a "contact lenses" mod to replace glasses lol!

Do you think it would be possible to have one of the ponytail hairs be equipped when you use a bobbypin to suggest you pinned your hairback?
if its possible could i have this as a standalone to the main mod please?

It's probably possible to do something like the Pompadour Wig item by turning a hair mesh into a hat mesh, but you wouldn't have any control over the hair color.

i guess you would have to have different textures to swap between hair colors so you would have to pick one at install, i personal never change my hair color once picked at character creation, i just would like to be able to but my hair back for those intense battles. hair in a ponytail 'entering battle mode'
