I found the button prompt < HOLD [x] TO ENTER WORKSHOP MODE. > obtrusive and unnecessary.

I made this for myself, and it fits in with my personal HUD modifications. The placement I chose may interfere with other custom HUDs. The last screenshot demonstrates how the placement interacts with the vanilla HUD, I think it is okay but if anyone would like to see it placed elsewhere feel free to comment or send me a PM.
That being said, this change was really easy and quick to make,
and by referencing Goomashroom's guide you can easily modify the size/placement to your liking.
May require modification of the "safe zone" values which I highly recommend anyhow
