    Doesn't work for me. I try this and More Shadows, but the lightbulb doesn't shine. With More Shadows works all the lights except the lightbulb... And I only want the lightbulb...

    I tried out this mod and it killed the frame rate by like 90%. Something went wrong. The light bulbs didn't even show any lights at all. Went from having 50-40 fps to 7-5 fps. Removed mod and fixed the fps. BTW I'm running a 760gtxOC msi.

    I had an issue with the lightbulbs on my garage area. All others worked fine but for some reason this area looked like this:
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v437/Viki/2015-12-01_00044.jpg

    I looked around Sanctuary and I didn't see any other glitches anywhere else.

    The shadows look REALLY good, but my FPS take a big hit, so I don't know if I should continue using it or not...

      The infamous shadow knockout bug, as of now my knowledge soo limited, it seems like a bug. Nothing I could do to fix it as far as I know. See my other mod, I mention this bug. Every omni I seen so far has that from a certain camera angle.

      FPS hit was expected, that is why its only the workshop version. If you run it on a power plant you get 60fps(i did not try to turn limiter off) in 4k but still lags with shadows sometimes.

    Looks good. I've got them set up all over sanctuary Hills, and I'm loving it at night.

    Hi guys, mine is not working correctly i guess. Half side of lamp is full dark shadow. Any ideas why? Shadows there on 1 side, but other side is full dark. Thanks.

      I don't know how. Mine works, are you sure yoy did not overwrite the mesh after installing?
      The mod file works because you see wrong shadows of the wrong mesh.

      Look around you have the problem somewhere.

      Hi thanks alot for replying. I am so lost and feel stupid now

      If i delete the mesh file at Data\meshes\SetDressing\LightFixtures\ WorkshopLightbulbHanging01.nif , it looks like this :
      http://i.imgur.com/DU0LaAj.png

      If i install this mod with NMM or manualy, it shows as previous images.

      I deleted all installed mods, deleted all extra files on data folders, only left this mod files and esp, still same. I am really a noob . Do i need to install another mod before this to work? Sorry for taking your time.

      Hi , here is a picture of the problem.

      http://i.imgur.com/oP0n0jU.png

      Its like shadow direction is reverted to other way. Ceiling Fan shadow must be on right side, but its on left side.

      I will delete everything again, reinstall and only install this mod, and start a new save this time, and see if still the same.

      Thanks alot for responding.

      Ok i found the problem......

      It was Fallout4Prefs.ini Shadow settings!!

      iDirShadowSplits was 1 , increased to 3

      uiShadowFilter was 1 , increased to 3

      iMaxFocusShadows was 1 , increased to 4

      And now all works fine.. I am not sure which line did the trick.

      Thanks alot for your time.

      This was really strange

      my other shadow lines was same , didnt changed them.

      uiOrthoShadowFilter=3
      iShadowMapResolution=1024
      iMaxFocusShadowsDialogue=4

      Hope this helps if someone else experience similar problems.

      I can't recreate this...

      Some problem with the shadow is expected on the ceiling, but here almost not noticeable. Mainly by the issue with angle of emittance. When I solve that its gonna be perfect

      But what you have on the screenshot is weird, send me that save maybe then I can see it like you do.

      Thanks alot for great mod.

      And further testing i found out that it was the only line " iDirShadowSplits=1 " causing this, 2 and 3 all works fine.

    If this version of the engine is the same as past engines, it can only handle so many shadow casters within the player's FOV at once. When you go over the limit (documented on many Skyrim tutorials) you will get texture flickering.

      I was thinking the same. While it certainly looks better as a single light source it could cause some problems and pop-ins with other shadow casting light sources around. If I remember correctly 4 light/object is the limit but don't quote me on that. There is a reason not every lightsource in the game is set to shadow casting. (that reason being the horribly dated engine with some makeup and godrays slapped over it so they can say it's an improved version.)

      It's not the same version of the engine, this one uses deferred lighting (due to DX11) instead of whatever they were using before. That annoying four shadow-casting lights per cell thing from before is gone now.

      That's good news. I'm very tired of messing with light sources in player homes in the past games trying to get around the shadow-caster issues.

      The hard limit is gone, but the engine still doesn't enjoy rendering too many shadows at once, especially on Ultra Quality.

      Yes, more than a couple of shadow casters will murder your FPS. Similar to how when in the cities with lots of shadows the drawcall count skyrockets and FPS drops while CPU/GPU utilization drops.

      This version of the engine is different there are a whole new way to shadows, and mostly new nif format. Also other texture format (dx11) but this has nothing to do with these shadow bugs.
      Check my other mods forum please.
      I figured out a lot about the engine, I can share if there is interest. Based on my other mods forum thread, I don't think so.
