Hey, after seeing your mod I decided to try my hand at changing it to Caits outfit, had the same problem with the gloves. I went into the mesh bsa and checked the filesturcture and saw the fgloves.nif and .ssl (or mgloves), if you can find an outfit that also has a fgloves or mgloves you could use that instead and not have grognaks gloves. Caits seem to work, I think there may be a glove mod as well that could help. Id imagine any mglove or fglove would work but there could be gaps, not really sure how it works exactly. Hope this helps a bit.

Between those two, and your mod, I have a black Grognak Vault-Suit with Black Gloves and it looks amazing. So, while I have no idea how it works ... something about these three items works beautifully together. Might be worth looking into them to see how if you can set it up to match colors for the vault suit or something.
