Near as I can tell, this mod re-introduces the cell reset bug fixed in 2016. I suspect it makes changes to some of the affected code, and it uses the original code from before the fix.

    oh for

    ....look, just do this:

    • go to MyGames fallout 4 folder, find Fallout4Custom.ini, edit it

    • Under [General] add the line
      sStartingConsoleCommand=bat fo4startup

    • Now save and close Fallout4Custom.ini and create a new text file file called - you guessed it - fo4startup (no DOT anything, literally same word put in the ini)
    • In that "fo4startup" plain text file type the line
      set timescale to 12
using of course whatever number you want but remember that < 6 WILL break shit. Always. The default value is 20. 10-12 is good.

    • Save "fo4startup" in your Steam folder where the fo4 exe is. Just make sure it's in the same folder as Fallout's .exe file.

Now this command will run every time you start the game - any game - new or existing - forever.
Now also you can, as you learn more console commands you want, just add them to this "fo4startup" file.

    Ferinstance mine looks like this:

    setgs fSneakActionMult 1
    setgs fCombatRangedThrowDelay 15
    setgs fCombatRangedGrenadeThrowDelay 20
setgs fDetectionViewCone 140 ; vanilla npc view was BEHIND them ffs
; GODRAY from scc by Mat1024
    gr grid 12
    gr scale 0.8
    gr maxcascade 1
    ; timescale and respawns
    set timescale to 12
    setgs fFastTravelSpeedMult 2
    setgs iHoursToClearCorpses 73
    setgs iHoursToRespawnCell 720
    setgs iHoursToRespawnCellCleared 2160

Just use the console to change it yourself. It's not hard. My favorite silly mod ever is just a folder with a mote inside that tells you how to change something using the in game console key[ ` ]. Lol. I think you tried to hard. If someone is on survival mod you exit survival mod. Open console. Set TimeScale to [desired number] .

Set TS to 15 is what I use. The main issue of going to far off the vanilla timescale is weather. The games weather uses real time not in game time. if you go down to 1 = 1 then storms are over "very quick". Whispers "The weather is separated for some reason". If you did Set TS to 40 then storms would last twice as long (in game that is)

1 = 1 second is equal to one second
20 = (vanilla) 20 in game seconds pass for one real life second

      Edited version for the Lol's

Set TimeScale to [desired number] .
Save game.. .. because you now can save when and where you want. Now open console and type
"cgf" "Game.IcrementStat" "SurvivalDenied" "-1"---- the quotation marks indicate the spaces between the individual commands
now hit ESC. Settings. Gameplay. Difficulty _ set to survival. Enjoy. I run too many mods to use survival, but I really want to switch back based on the ammo weight.. God I love me some ammo weight

Did you add it mid-game? Timescale mods like this only work on a new game...
Just set the timescale with the console (Set Timescale to 5)

If you have access to add mods to your game, this mod is ridiculously pointless. Use the console commands to change the timescale. The format is as follows:

    set timescale to XX

XX is equal to how many minutes pass in game to every minute in real time

set timescale to 1 - 1 minute is game time is equal to 1 minute in real time

set timescale to 2 - 1 minute is game time is equal to 30 seconds in real time

set timescale to 3 - 1 minute is game time is equal to 20 seconds in real time

The scale, once changed, never changes again unless you manually change it. You could set the scale, wipe all your save files and restart the game and the time scale will still be at what you set it.

The only real adverse effects to setting the time closer to real time is that crops take longer to produce and merchants take longer to restock.

Anyway to change the game so that Fast Travel doesn't advance time at all?

Update: SetGameSetting "fFastTravelSpeedMult" 2.00 will apparently make it take the same amount of time to fasttravel as jogging to somewhere, which is good enough for me. timescale to 10 and the game should feel less like a timelapse photo of the sky.

There are a number of mods that will add the ability to use console commands in survival mode.

Dunno if anyone's checking on this, but it doesn't seem to work any more . I've tried using 10 and timed it a few times, and timescale still seems to be 20. I'd like to use it in a Survivor run (where there is no console, so I can't just enter it manually).

It doesn't work because Beth uses a script to set it after the elevator ride out of the vault. You have to edit that script to change it.
Or, you have to use the console after said elevator ride.

      Try this one here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15126/?

There is also some good information people posted there too that is worth reviewing.

This looks interesting but it lacks user-friendly descriptions...

I would love a mod that simply shortens night times by 30 or 50% - is there any way to do that ?

There was a mod called "Realistic Sunset Times" that I can't find now but it didn't work anyway (COD). Can you advice on a way to make sunset times actually be at a NORMAL time for Boston on average? Sunset is way too bloody late in the day.

I actually just stumbled upon the mod with it, right before stumbling upon your comment. Serendipity?

(http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4472/?), if you scroll down to optional files; you will see it.
