DrSmilegood, Awesome texture, Im inclined to agree about too many logos so think I prefer the single logo one. Anyway, I HATE overly prominent backgrounds, thats just me though, So did up a quick BG swap if you like it just using the ALLIANCE SPECIAL FORCES logo, very faded against a sort of lined screen texture.
Heres a quick screen I took of it, If you like it I can send you the .DDS, or preferably a .PSD as I know NOTHING about texture saving and compression and what not.
I'd love to have this background, the included one is overwhelming, particularly in the map, tried to replace it with files from the Less Pipboy version but didn't seem to matter. Can you post a link to this via some picture sharing site?
Thanks, btw love both your work and the original designer's, more Mass Effect is good!
cool pipboy but after i deleted it my characters leg, shoulder and half his chest is black with the n7 symbol on them and it wont go away even when i make a new charater
Cant seem to send messages to the creator, So if you read this, I have the other maps done so that you dont get the Pip-Boy embossed effect over the N7 Logo, just need a way to send them to you
Cool and thanks! Yeah I am new to all of this and still learning fairly quickly, I have Creative Cloud through work so figured why not have some fun doing some retextures. Literally learning PS and AI as I go, just figured out paths yesterday lol. Only been playing with it since right before thanksgiving off and on so any and all feedback is greatly enjoyed!
ahh yep, Im on CS6, been doing design for years and photography for the last year so CS is a big necessity for me. But had never used it for retexturing and love this sorta stuff so also diving in head first at the moment. Actually used your N7 Pip-Boy idea but using the FTO 2k-4k pipboy overhaul as a base, wouldnt be able to upload it unifrtunately without permissions and stuff but looks sweet as with the high detail of the base work.
Just sent you a message with a dropbox link for the normal maps too to get rid of the pipboy emboss
A neat tip regarding CS6 (which I also have, being a freelance graphic designer), is - assuming you already have the Nvidia DDS plug-in - that you can make DDS open default to CS6. Why bother? If you have your folder view set to thumbnails, and you have the preview window active in the folder settings, you can get a preview of the texture without needing to open it! It can save a lot of time.
First off, I love this mod! I prefer the less logos version, though.
However, I should point out (assuming no one else has) that to make your mod work with NMM, you need to set up a proper folder hierarchy in your zip. Do this by creating a folder on your desktop (or where ever) named Data. Within Data, create the textures folder, then plop your AnimObjects in there. The full folder hierarchy path in your zip should be as follows (for the PipBoy):
Data\textures\AnimObjects\Pipboy
This way NMM, which uses the FO4 binary directory (folder with game EXE) as its starting point will install the folders and files sequentially, prompting you for overwriting only if a folder's containing files (not folders) share the same name and extension as the existing files in the same hierarchy.
It's a rookie mistake, but don't feel bad; we've all done that by mistake at one point or another. I do recommend you update your Nexus files, though, which may spare you the beginner comments claiming the mod doesn't work (since most folks use NMM now that it supports FO4).

Is there any way we can get this background (or even just the background file) for this mod?
