Hm, the mod creator writes in the description that he hasn't found such type of weapon. There you go: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32002 Still will try this one here out, too, though.
Thanks for the link! I have just had a play around with SCOLD-7, it seems like a good fun alternative to mine, only lacking the visual effect of a 'Rod from God'... Plus it seems somewhat more powerful.
Variety is the spice of life, so please do choose whichever you find more fun and useful in game!
Both mods are awesome. I had a quick look at SCOLD and read the comments there. I like this one.
In fact, I already modified it a little more to my liking. What I prefer in particular, is the ability to "scope" a target and precisely register strike coordinates. Better than chucking a beacon IMO.
The arty nades really turned me off. Beacons are basically the same thing. I rarely use them and replaced that part of my strategy with the Stingray Air Support mod --> https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15939/
Plus this mod has been really reliable so far. I'll have to try the other on now, regardless ;)
Heya. Sorry, didn't see you replying. Please don't take my previous post as rubbishing your mod or you, it truly wasn't meant that way. It's always great that the community comes up with good stuff. And while I unfortunately couldn't try out neither of the aforementioned mods (load order and gaming schedule fit only so much things into them, I still happily will leave an endorsement. Keep up the good work. =)
1. Small sized mod. 2. Simple to use. 3. No funny useless and long animations. 4. Does the job effectively. 5. Low profile and severely underrated mod.
We hope the mod author continues to make more SIMPLE and EFFECTIVE mods.
This works very nicely! The alien didn't have the attachment, but I could craft it/add it via the weapons bench. Fires off right away too, unlike artillery flares that take so long the enemy had time to move out of the way. Up close you only see the explosion, but be far enough away and you see the bolt of heaven land. Cool!
Hi UniversalLibrary, I'm glad you like the mod. Unusual that you didn't see the mod on the alien, you aren't the only person that has experienced that issue - Krispyywombat's mod showcase video reveals that it's missing also. I shall have to look into that in an update...
Update - In a game where the ship had already landed before this was installed, the alien didn't have that mod item. In a game with the ship falling down after, the alien did have the mod item. Purely guesswork, but might be something to solve the problem. I agree with another poster that the damage (or the radius) need increased.
I played with it and holy hell is it fun! Endorsed for sure. :) Have you considered giving it the frag grenade effect of leaving fake holes on the hit surface, or making it so that it destroys destructible objects like sandbags and safety poles like power armor does? I agree with lugia2490 that it could use some more power though. Perhaps make a second modification that has more power and a wider area effect and scaled up visual?

Not all players are blind to good mods.
