I'd love to use this mod but Vortex or windows considers it a untrustworthy process/file and I cannot even install manually because it only becomes untrustworthy during installation.
I'm using the latest version of Comodo Internet Security and trying to install this via the Nexus Mod Manager generates a malware/virus warning. TrojWare.Win32.Krap.T@101925166. I'm assuming that it's a false positive but I am not sure. Just a heads up.
Hey, just wondering if this mod is safe? I tried installing through Vortex and am getting a warning about the installer. Did you end up installing it and if so did you get any problems?
Well, it's almost certainly a false positive - Comodo (and, iirc, F-Secure) is particularly oversensitive (or rather, arguably, too blunt and insensitive) and have flagged this virus even in core game files in some titles (and/or Steam versions thereof). Just a quick websearch found similar comments for Poker Holdem, White Noise 2, Dear Esther, and The Signal From Tolva. And don't forget Nexus tells you if they've scanned the file, which they have for this one (upper right of page, to the right of who uploaded it).
Maybe anything approaching monitoring keystrokes (which this mod does to start a timer) is likely looked at as a potential logger.
Given it's Comodo, and reports triggered on games themselves, I'd be 99% sure of a false positive - but do you really need this mod?
so i'm curious on what is the current status of this mod at this time, its already 2020 and last time this mod was updated during 2015... so definitely alot has changed in the game and i'm wondering if this mod is still a must have for the latest version of fo4 or no longer needed....
of course not having a video to demonstrate this mod does not help on making a decision if this mod is worth the download.
Just installed it and it works as advertised. I installed it manually so I didn't get the timer option, but it's fine the way it is. The only problem I've encountered is that my stimpack icon is a question mark.
Crashes Vortex every time I try to install it. Sometimes on relaunch it will bring up the selector but it gets stuck infinitely installing or not working at all despite it saying "Enabled."
Edit: Found my own work around; Just install it manually. Doesn't seem to have any loss in functionality.
This mod is marvelous!!! But... have bug with incorrect icons. The problem is related to the following file (FavoritesMenu.swf). When you replace it with vanilla file icons displayed correctly, but not switch. I don't know how fix it, so i hope author done and update this great mod.
I tried 0.8.0 and it didn't have the installer which lets you set which slots have quick select, but using 0.9.0 and it works a treat. Only problem is broken icons (bottom 3 quick slots which i used for stimpaks or drugs) but as long as you remember what you put in those slots you're all good.
This is quite brilliant. Come for a 2nd play through and it's still unique -and excellent- in its function. Didn't seem to want to install via Mod Organizer for me, but NMM handled it fine (just copied that install over into MO then lol), but that may be on my end MO's being a little temperamental.

Yep nothing I can do to install this:
Error
Edit: Found a work around, go to vortex - settings - workarounds and disable "Enable Sandbox"
Probably has some security issues doing this so at your own risk.

^ will the mod fix this bugger of a glitch?

Quality of life mod in my books.
