I put a laser on Codsworth's center arm (via the Automatron DLC) and it plays the new sound effect which is nice, but I really wanted the sound for all laser weapons. So I looked into the mod files, and found that changing the sound for just the laser rifle required the mod author to replace 9 (identical) sound files. So you could build an ESL where all the laser weapons use that sound, and/or make a lower-pitched version of the same sound for the gatling laser, like the Trooper's weapon in Star Wars The Old Republic. Changing the pitch would take about 3 minutes in Audacity, but you'd also have to spend time in the Creation Kit to find the file names to replace. Then someone will open a 'canon of worms' and say that the Star Wars 'blaster' weapons are technically plasma and not lasers, and they'd be right, but implementing that would be a whole other mod. And unlike Audacity, nothing is quick in the CK.
Awesome idea! Any reason why all 3 sounds are familiar instead of 3 different variations? The differences would give off more sounds to the weapon based off of a full charge shot, half charge, mega shot, etc...as no two bullet...err laser sounds are alike.
